What a window!

I believe it, and agree with it. It's about time we smashed the 100k barrier in wages, we aren't going to get anywhere if we keep on paying the same wages as Sunderland. This was always going to happen with the new TV deal IMO.

Maybe I don't want to believe it. And I don't!

Totally agree, loans are short term.

Next season we will be 3 players down (Deulofeu, Barry, Lukaku)

Yeah we did a bit of business in the window but only short term fixes.

Chances are we'll get Deulofeu back for another season.
Barry is a free transfer next Summer, so if he impresses, he could earn himself a short term contract off us.
Lukaku, im unsure about, anything could happen between now and next Summer with him.

Some moaning carts on here! We have got 12 months to take our time to get a striker now instead of panicking and spunking 6million on shane long. We have got one of the best young strikers in Europe for a year, probably the same amount of time the yak was good for us and that cost 12 million! Just enjoy it, Martinez is gradually trying to build a YOUNG exciting team. Barkley and stones are getting there chance. Mccarthys 22, gibbo n Coleman 24/25. Joel will eventually come in for Howard and we have two great kids in on loan. (Yeah we won't sign them but other clubs/players will see us as a team that can develop a player). Throw in the experience of jags, distin, Howard n Barry. It's all looking ok!

Considering quite a few people on here really believed we would have had a net spend in the region 20 - 30 million due to the new tv money, the majority have taken the negative net spend as a victory.

I can't wait for when we sell Barkley for 40 million and only spend half of it.

Much chance of you mastering the exotic art of The Sarcasm Font mate?
Mixed feelings here, proof's in the pudding though.

...Everton FC is on the verge of greatness. We have one of the best managers in world football and are now about to show the world that money cannot buy everything...youth and investment in that quality yields the best return on equity. We are gonna be paradigm shifters...VERY exciting times

Shame if things turn good this season as it'll likely be down to the trickery of Deulofeu and the goals of Lukaku... they disappear next June and all of a sudden our squad looks very, very poor...

No money from Bill, need to add a quality striker, Pienaar a year older and slower, Distin possibly gone. What happens then?

Jesus, I bet you're a bundle of joy to be around! Personally I'm chuffed about the end result of the window, as RM said "we will come out of the transfer window stronger" and we have!

The thing im intrigued about is the fact the club have released the fee for everything that happened last night. The fans now know that there is still money left over from the sales last night, so surely they wouldn't be stupid to let that money disappear?!

People whining about sending Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barry off again next summer, you'd think there are loads of other loanees to have a go at. Can't believe Chelsea have held on to THAT midfield;
Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Oscar, John Obi, Schurrle, de Bruyne, van Ginkel, Hazard, Willian, Marin, Moses, Romeu. Could see at least two of those wanting to be loaned out next season if they don't see to much time this year. City much the same.

As for money spent, I'd say we've overspent on Wigan players Kone and McCarthy but only time will tell where it leaves us. Think it's been a more than decent window for us, always knew Fellaini was leaving one time or another and we got good money. If it can help stave off the debtors meaning we can hold on to key players for a few more years than that should see us in good stead.

I watched a swedish newspapers' live report from the transfer deadline day and after the initial burst of laughter at Whelan's incredulity over the 4-year pay off we got some recognition for being one of a very select few clubs actually looking to abide the FIFA Financial Fairplay, no matter that it probably isn't that voluntary.

I agree with what he said

You agree with it? You agree with handing 32 year old Gareth Barry in excess of 4 mil quid before the end of the season?

For doing what? Scoring 25 goals? No, for jogging around making grimaces while the game passes him by.
