You realise Everton aren't big news right? So the media don't really bother with us until something drastic happens. This season has been the same Martinez says we are unlucky haven't got what we deserve so most of the media repeat that message.

The media started getting on to Moyes near the end when Pardew and a few journos started calling him on his claims. If Martinez doesn't sort this soon they'll be on to him as well. Maybe make your own mind up mate instead of believing everything you read.
Every club outside the top look to how we do things, off course there all wrong and your right again, you should be on the board!!

EFC were 10th in the wages league when Moyes had us finishing in 5th-7th spot. The club over-achieved with him at the helm, based on that, not what Moyes said. The glass ceiling exists between 4th and 5th places, for obvious commercial reasons.

Moyes decreased the size of the squad and increased the top wages of the first team. He was here a long time so there was no dead wood within the squad so to speak. Nothing wrong with that although you could argue injuries and smaller players may not sustain form for a season. But longevity can help you run on an 'efficient wage bill'.

Sometimes it's really not worth the effort, you stick to your guns, don't eat all the eggs in one go!

Its never worth looking for something that's not there you are right about that.

The Moyes years may be the best you've seen for Everton but there a lot of us who saw a lot of those years for what they were.

You haven't got a clue, small minded and short memories, see you in Kiev next week.

Loved Moyes and respected the job he done for us but would not want him back. He history

Me too.

Best manager of his type around. Nobody has, or will, match the sheer consistency of finishes and rebuilding of a squad on a budget he did with us.

However he seems to be enjoying La Liga and we need to move on too. We will be FAR more inconsistent but the additional TV money should make that less of a problem than it would have been in the past.

You're not offering anything other than insults though lad. If you make bold claims you need to be able to at least try and back them up.

Enjoy the trip, I'll be the one eating Easter eggs apparently

Or was it the fact that the 3 teams with higher wage bills, QPR, Villa and Sland, are underperforming basket cases.

Which teams broke through the glass ceiling in Moyes' time with us?

If Moyes was using it as an excuse then surely someone would have done it and proved him wrong?

Which team gave their manager 11 years and pretty much full reign to try and break that ceiling like Everton did for Moyes?
