Same people who have this attitude towards Dyche are the same people not wanting HoweSo how come you're so against Dyche?
The "we need a long term plan" sounds nice, but how many managers last 3+ years or whatever?
Clubs bleeding out - needed to bring Dyche in over a month ago. He kept worse Burnley sides up than this, and even if not - the fella joined Burnley in Oct, got them promoted. They went straight back down as favourites to do so, but he then promoted again an they stayed there for 6 seasons. Sure, wheels come off but that's football isn't it - managers fail eventually.
Snobbery an pride is why we turn our noses up at Dyche - I don't want him either, but he was the logical choice over a month ago.
Now? Makes no odds but at least the fella has credentials of promoting teams.
Was funny when the whole forum turned its nose up at HoweSame people who have this attitude towards Dyche are the same people not wanting Howe
It’s got nothing to do with snobbery.
It’s to do with Sean Dyche was at Burnley for 10 years, it was his club and his culture. Basically like Moyes at us
Saying he’ll come in and that’ll be it, we’ll be organised like Burnley and we’ll organised is far fetched.
And to add, Burnley were renowned for not scoring many goals. He’ll have one of the worst attacking line ups in the league.
We’ll see anyway, I’m sure he’ll be in by Monday and I’m guessing he’ll be sacked with 18 months, then we can switch to another manager with a completely different style and start the process all over again
The joy
I'd rather we got Kompany instead but he would genuinely not leave Burnley for us.
Look any name I throw out you're going to reject because I'm not going to prioritize staying up at all costs.
At some point you're going to have to bite the bullet and go through the hard work of getting the team to play better. Bringing in Dyche just pushes the start date further down the road and that's all we've been doing basically since we sacked Silva. Just pushing the hard work down the line over and over and over until you end up absolute crap.
This board won't have any better ideas unfortunately.Ultimately, we need to have a football manager. One who will come, now.
The reality is, who would come?
I wanted Emery before Villa got him. Those types of managers we've not got a sniff of a chance now.
So we either go completely unproven/untested an hope they can handle the pressure of 1) trying to keep us up and if not, relegation and 2) trying to promote us first time of asking.
The only bloke I can think of is Sean Bloody Dyche.
Maybe a football hipster can come along and tell me someone else.
This board won't have any better ideas unfortunately.
For you not to have any clue is fine, it isn't your job. The board going with Dyche would be unforgivable.
