Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Things would have gone south quickly under Allardyce, more or less the same tactics as benitez produced and the fans would have turned on him quick.

Difference back then as well is we actually had expectations. Now we have none.

It’s a sad state of affairs and a clear point of how awful things have been that allardyce’s short reign is now looked at fondly.

I get it.

But again all im asking is...

WHO SCORES THE GOALS.

Yeah we can blame the signings of McNeil and Maupay on Thelwell.

For the low installments who else could he have signed? Probably plenty of players.

Maupay
McNeil
Gana

All flops.

Who can get these 3 playing at the top level every game.

As thats why people arent backing Lampard...he cant magically turn non goalscorers into scorers.

Thelwell has to SELL and reinvest behind Lampard.

Or else were doomed.
Come on Zat it was clear that they thought the existing attacking players can do the job. And why don’t they just sign one good attacking player who is a proper replacement of Richy instead of multiple squad players who now sit on the bench or injured? They costed signing on fees, wages and transfer fees. Don’t tell us we can’t do it, it is down to proper recruitment. The cost of the entire Brighton team that played against us is cheaper than Iwobi.

And every single 1 of Brighton team would be 1st choice here

My point is it will not matter. He is an atrocious coach. Easily the worst we have ever appointed. If we were going to sink or swim behind a manager it should have been Silva but even then he was rightly sacked. Lampard has been given a lot of leeway because above him is so tumultuous when in fact he is as big a culprit as any of them. Every week he picks the worst formation, worst style, worst game plan and picks the worst subs he possibly can. His subs yesterday were laughable. He has not been a success at any club he has ever been at. He was given unlimited money at Chelsea and a load of "goalscorers" and look at what happened as soon as he left. He was barely a success at Derby either. We need new players, yes, but we also need a new manager who can at least give us a fighting chance to stay up, not a charlatan with our second worst winning percentage in our history.

His subs improved the team yesterday?

Who else was there to bring on?

Gordon and Simms for example are both linked with sales so hes probably not able to throw them in. Whose left?

Listen I agree with you on the overall quality of the players, especially from an attack point. Put he has had Dominic Calvert-Lewin for several games now and still doing use him correctly. We have players like gray and Gordon who can beat a man and then should should just cross it in. We don’t do enough of it. It’s slow build up play passing around doing nothing with it. Dominic Calvert-Lewin main and only threat is in the air and when we do cross it in it’s only dom by himself, when iwobi and the other sided Winger should be in the box too. Midfield too deep to win second balls when the opposition clear the ball. We all see this yet Lampard and coaching team do nothing week in and week out.

Fair points. But is Gray not the most selfish player at the club since...forever?

Iwobi is dross and Gordon seems off.

The list of managers out of work and the list of managers in smaller clubs who would leave for Everton even in our current state is extremally long, no doubt they will try to gaslight us into thinking our only options are Dyche, Duncan Ferguson, David Moyes or Wayne Rooney once again. A pathetically inept board but sadly they simply have to get rid of Lampard now, and then it is our job to be rid of them.

If they brought in a top replacement then fair enough.

I cant see Gallardo or Poch rocking up any time soon.

Speak for yourself buddy.

19th is the minimum. Anything below that is unacceptable.

Kjetil Knutsen is the man for me, and keep him regardless of if we go down or not. He helped transform Bodo/Glimt from a nothing club to one of the most impressive outfits in Europe, while playing eye-catching football. He would transform us.
Mate he got no PL experience so they won’t go for him

They should have got Gaultier last year instead they got Benitez

There are players in this team that scored in a Benitez setup though. We do need some more players Zat but we need someone who can actually set the team up properly and that isn't Frank or any of his coaching staff. This is Franks 3rd go at management now and each time it's ended up the same way. He just isn't cut out for it imo.
Yes the board are a total sham and both him and KT should have been backed a lot more but the teams tactics are just abysmal at the moment. Paul Clement failed in his time as a manager and we at the moment are playing exactly the same way as his Derby team did, it's all possession and no purpose to it just holding on to the ball waiting for the other team to make an error, it's unsustainable. At the moment we need to just move the ball about quickly, directly, and get numbers forward towards the box and just put pressure on the oppositions goal, it's the best chance we have of getting goals.
And its not even 'Rocket science' it's literally just the basics of football...

When did we see the best of DCL, when he was told to play in the 6 yard box..

PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS !!!!!!

The money went on multiple players.

Count how many we sold and how many we signed.

I don’t think any manager makes a difference, that’s the worrying part

They do. It offers a new approach that catches teams out (new manager bounce).

The issue Lampard has is they look clueless in attack, in transitions, and are now slowly losing confidence. An experienced manager fixes that.

On paper we have a solid spine to a team to stay in the league. We just need someone who can get them to work. Sadly Lampard can't.

We also had one of the worlds best CM and an awesome left side

Yet again you cant tell me who scores the goals to win games?

You name Coleman who has never crossed a ball effectively in his career.

Mykolenko is a left back, or LCB. He isnt a wing back. We have no wing backs of premier league mid table quality.

If youre in a boxing ring with someone who cant punch...what happens next?

What new manager? Arrigo Sacchi, Capello and Ancelotti could get the defence in order...but with 10 behind the ball all game.

Need players.

As Moshiri said....the fans ALWAYS want managers out.

Look at Silva. Look at Ancelotti.

Alot wanted them sacked.
Zat don’t ask me ask KT and FL. Their only bet is a fit Ancelotti era Calvert-Lewin. They made the judgement and decide to sign McNeil, Maupay and Garner etc. So it’s their faults.

Or cross the ball.

Dyche-ball basically is...hit the line, cross to the big man. Be compact defensively.

Our midfield gets cut wide open all the time.

Perhaps Maupay or McNeil, you know, the forwards he purchased for multi-million sums. You also haven't addressed the fact that our system is RUBBISH and every week we get outplayed by horrific squads with coaches who have actual tactical nous. How will new forward address our pathetic midfield structure in which two of our midfielders are in no man's land and one is meant to just stand there and attempt to stop a counter-attack. We had more possession and "control" as Lampard put it, because West Ham under David Moyes do not care about having the ball for large amounts of the game.
