Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'?

Keith Harris is leading it and this is what the papers say regarding who's behind it.

"Vici Private Finance, a recently established entity, is a multi-family office in the United Kingdom (UK) housing a consortium of investors.

The consortium includes funds from two unnamed Western Hemisphere billionaires and several foundations, including a humanitarian organisation."
I know all of this. I find it hard to believe there are no names attached to it, hence I doubt it was a serious bid.

Can you get an example from your Italian friend why he will be back news for us?
Hi mate ! Sorry for the delay.
My Italian mate is pessimistic because he thinks they will be more likely to go for a bit of a quick fix trying to get a few names in using a scattergun approach rather than building the club up trying to build a young vibrant team which my mate wants us to do. He suspects it will be quick buzz but not have strong foundations so will fizzle out and we’ll be back to square one. In fairness he’s not making it as a firm prediction, just a strong suspicion.

It's extremely unlikely imho. If he had something similar in mind, he would have chosen another club. Everton has a huge fan base and great potential.
Last year for example, Roma signed a partnership with Hull City. If he was looking for a Roma satellite in the UK, he would have bought Hull City.

And you don't spend all that money on a satellite.
Some of our fans will see a negative out of every situation.

The articles about Roma as the focal point are based on a statement by Lina Souloukou, AS Roma CEO, at the Globe Soccer Europe Award held in May.

She said, with regard to the Friedkin Group's expansion strategy: "Roma will remain the crown jewel".

If you translate the article, you'll find these exact words. The fact is, at the time she had been asked about Cannes. To be honest - and it's one of the reasons I'm so interested in this deal - when I read such statement I felt something was out of place, because you don't feel compelled to say Roma will remain the top priority when on the other side you have a club like Cannes, that will certainly grow in the future, but currently plays at amateur level.

A few days ago, when I first read about Friedkin's interest in Everton, i connected the dots. It's very likely Souloukou already knew about all this at the time of the statement.

Still, I find these words misleading. I think they'll try to develop both clubs as much as they can. I cannot think of someone who buys a historic Premier League side without a serious growth project in mind. On the other hand, they've already invested almost 1 billion euros in Roma, it would be crazy to just stop and focus on Everton.

Either they have some sort of strange joint growth strategy in mind or they're setting things up to sell Roma.
Why would a dual strategy be strange. Could even buy a club in another league.
