at least 3 group are interested in takeover.
It really is a good sign. Hope the deal can be done soon. We may have a new and true start with new stadium in 2025/26 season. Next season will be the longest ever.

There’s still very little point being rich.

Clearing debts is the best thing that can come from it, which in turn will free up some cash flow and P&S wiggle room.

As things stand though, no matter how rich an owner is, they are limited in ability to spend. Rich is better than poor. Mega rich is not much better than merely rich.

Competent owners are what we need.

I think give the expenditure on the stadium, having deep pockets (cash reserves) will at least (with the right benefactor) allow us access to cash to either loan and turn to equity or interest free loans 8 would imagine. We can’t continue to pay 18% on some of the loans we have - it’s ridiculous.

This is bang on. The rich owner is required to pay to play but once at the wheel it’s really about very effective investment and management.

It would also be good to have an owner that communicates well and is involved in the community but given how busy these business men are that’s probably unlikely.

There's a lot of prestige to be had with the stadium, location, history and PL membership - it's coming with a heavy price tag for somebody though.

To be fair, if somebody can get the club competitive, a lot can change in 5 years.

Nobody cares / remembers anymore that Man City were even worse than us a relatively short time ago.

Like many have mentioned, it is the debt and general business acumen that is the immediate issue.

Tell you what, what an utter incompetent kin arsed-faced weasel bonehead Moshiri truly is. Sticks with the obvious not-happening and dodgy-af 777 conmen for the best part of a year plunging us deeper into financial ruin, then as soon as their prolonged period of exclusivity runs out we've got people throwing their money at us left right and centre.

You can only expect he'll go with the deal that's best for him though, not that's best for Everton.

Still as long as it's a significant improvement on the previous 30 years we ought to be in a good place.

Absolutely agree

But you'd hope that a restructuring of debt and cash injection would eradicate / reduce the crippling interest we must be paying to all the creditors bar 777 (who I think we begin paying back in 2026, according to The Athletic).

The easing of interest should stop the rot.
