why are we so dull to watch?

It baffles me to this day that we continue to play out from the back despite not having the players to do so, and that seemingly nobody at Everton has realised you need pacy players to have a chance in this league. How do some of these people stay in a job? It's crazy.

First seven games of the season, since the derby we have been awful.
I always thought we didn’t play that well in the derby either to be honest but Liverpool played worse. Couldn’t retain possession for more than a few seconds or string two passes together and constantly gave the ball back to Liverpool for them to attack again. Defended well, but poor in our build up play.

Have to say though I’m not enjoying watching us play at the moment and that game last night was just painful. It isn’t about winning or losing it’s just tedious boring football. The only game I remember really enjoying this season was against spurs in the cup, though I missed the first six games or so when everyone said we played great.

How many of the squad that Ancelloti brought in played last night?
James and Allan were brought in by Carlo, both have had spells out of the team through injury, Allan looked good in the early part of the season, when he came back he didn’t look like he was 100% fit, then he got injured, James can look very good in parts of the games he plays but goes missing for big parts of games, Godfrey and Doucoure were brought in by Brands, those last two have been very good signings, we are missing Doucoure a lot now he is injured, especially his energy box to box, so I’d say Carlo’s two sigoing’s haven’t really been value for money and with their ages will miss more games than they have this season the longer they stay. Carlo will have to bring in younger and fitter players than those two.

You have to imagine that having your two first choice midfielders, striker, goalkeeper, 3 of your 5 back up midfielders unavailable due to injury and the subs bench filled with u21s without an Everton appearance has to impact on passing and attacking fluency somewhat
what about the games when they've been fit

Our players miss the angry Everton da's vitriolic abuse eminating from the park end. Either that, or they just aren't very good at football.
