I disabled Cortana upon installation mate. All running great.I think this is retaliation for the few things I managed to type into Cortana when everything else had crashed and I had to restart...

Its a known issue with certain laptops ...its a bug that they are aware of. Wait a month or two then try again. Its worth it, You only have a year to nab it for free, Then its gunna cost.Put it on my laptop a few months ago, kept getting a grey screen plus other problems. Did a Google search on my tablet an how to take it off, so it lasted about 24 hours. It's not going back on.
Thanks mate and you may well be right, but I'm not a great computer whiz, my eldest son is and will fix things wrong if he has time, just removing Windows 10 was enough for me and I wouldn't have a clue how to " clean install". I take the view that I shouldn't have to know these things , if they can't sort it out for me before I install it I don't want it.!Its a known issue with certain laptops ...its a bug that they are aware of. Also worth remembering that it is also the last windows so once you switch...and it works !!! You can guarantee no more compatibility issues. ( well thats the ldea)
I must be alone in that I love w10, No problems at all...I did download it to a usb drive and clean installed it though..that stacked update was a mess. Deffo clean install only or your looking at deffo issues.
I know ..i had to take courses back in the day to figure it all out. Its annoying having to spend hour after hour trouble shooting just to make it work out the box. Thats windows for ya. I always clean install a new os though now...it saves a ton of research later.
