hello kith, I added a few vids ^^^ a few pages back on the very subject..
this guide is only for people who have ALREADY used the free windows 10 update and it's not worked properly, Or then want to clean install !!!!
windows 10 will update free of charge and will become activated from your windows 7, 8 so no need to reactivate with a clean install.
1. you will need a formatted usb stick (fat32) 8gb and above.
2.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
2a. go to download tool....download tool !!
3. have a cuppa...
- Run the media creation tool.
- Select Create installation media for another PC.
- Select the language, edition and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. cpu dependant !!!!!
- Follow the steps to create the installation media, then select Finish when it’s done.
- When you’re ready to perform a clean installation, turn on your PC, insert the USB flash drive you created, then shut down your PC.
- Restart your PC, then press any key to boot from the USB flash drive.
If you restart your PC and your current version of Windows starts, you might have to open a boot menu or change the boot order in your PC’s BIOS or UEFI settings so that your PC boots from the media. To open a boot menu or change the boot order, you’ll typically need to press a combination of keys (such as F2, F12, Delete or Esc) immediately after you turn on your PC. For instructions on changing the boot order for your PC, check the documentation that came with your PC or go to the manufacturer’s website.
If changing the boot menu or order doesn’t work, try again by signing in to Windows, shutting down, then starting your PC.
- On the Install Windows page, enter your language and other preferences, then select Next.
- Select Install Windows.
- On the Enter the product key to activate Windows
- when it asks for a key.....skip it ( if you have already updated your pc to windows 10 but want a clean install)
- you should of course delete / format all partitions from your c: drive during the beginning installation.
- hope that kinda helps...really hard to be more specific due to hardware differences.
the above information is from the above link I provided.
