Massive strides taken since the last Euros and seemingly moving forward at a good rate.

My favourite take from the whole tournament has been how kids (especially the girls as a dad with 2 young daughters) across the country have embraced it without the cynical view of us arl arses and loved every minute.

Took my daughter to a couple of the games, first football she's been to, absolutely loved it.

She doesn't care what standard it is, she's watched plenty of football on tv, she cared about seeing women play football.

There was kids running round the street here cheering at the final whistle, girls kicking balls about pretending to be the players, shouting Toone as they chipped the ball up the street. I did that shizz when I was their age pretending to be Bob Latchford or Davey Thomas. Its 'kin brilliant to see them so enthusiastic.
