Women's Euro 2022

Is that not high wages for a regular attendance of about 200 per match?
Well the average attendance for our games last season was 1,021 rather than 200. That's not four times less than a lot of the League Two clubs versus wages.

It's quite a bit more than the average attendance of the likes of Solihull Moors, Boreham Wood and many others in the National League as well.

For a sport that was banned for how many years and minimalismed by the authorities after that, I think that's not a bad average.

This is a stupid argument.

These are the best WOMEN players in Europe.

Therefore the skill level is the top level for women's football.

Why does the "level" matter anyway. We support Everton and we have been utter crap for decades. Should we all just jib it off and support Manchester City because they are of a better level?

Why do people support Southend or Runcorn etc?
Tedious. You clearly haven't read the conversation leading up to that post.

The women's achievement in this tournament is unparalleled. It's genuinely the best they've ever been and the trend appears to be rising, so there could well be a sustained period of success ahead of them. They deserve all the plaudits for their victory and should celebrate to their hearts' content.

Anyone who wishes to make it MORE and argue they're better players / more skilled than male players winning euro u20s or WC u20s? Nope. Sorry, don't agree. And more importantly, that lack of agreement takes absolutely nothing away from the achievement because, as you pointed out yourself, women's teams play against women's teams.
