World Cup 2022

Football heavy weights South Korea got to the semis of their tournament. Just saying like.

It’s a fair point, but did Korea bribe their way to the tournament?

Mind you their game against Italy during the tournament was very, very dodgy if I remember correctly.

And it had dire consequences

odds are crap, you been robbed.
odds are 28/1 for arg brazil final on its own.
I'll be happy with 200/1 if it comes off.

Besides only way to do a bet like this would be on the day on a bet builder. And they would slash the accumulative odds of all outcomes required in the betfred offer and it wouldn't be much difference either way.

Anyway who cares. Just a bit of fun.

Absolutely no idea.

Probably not, the first Asian WC would have been a pay back for supporting Blatter maybe, but thats a mile from brown envelopes. But keeping one of the hosts in as long as possible? Maybe tilting at windmills. Or not.

I remember that being a brilliant World Cup.

If I take away all the murky backgrounds of Qatar. Both Korea and Japan had qualified for the World Cup previously and had to some degree, a footballing background with the likes of Nakata who’d made it to Europe.

I hope Qatar fans do bring a bit of magic to the tournament like Korea did with the “Red Wave”, they became famous for.

It really wouldn’t shock me to see some form of “agreement” take place. The Ecuadorean referee against Italy actually got banned for Match Fixing in 2002, so there’s scope.

Korea - Japan was an amazing world cup.

This is going to be so far from it I think it'll be laughable.

I hope we’re all pleasantly surprised.

But just feel there’s far too many hurdles. Too many rules. I just can’t see it being anything other than naff.

I just hope Qatari’s have never heard of a Vuvuzela.
