I think their ceiling is lower now but they've still got enough talent to try and have a bit of a runMane ruled out. That’s Senegal done. Shame for both them and him.
In Doha?Erm, a hotel with a swimming pool, 3 bars and a nightclub.

Ha yeah. I was 12 at the time and was just excited about the US not sucking but I do remember watching the Spain South Korea match and knowing even then it didn’t seem quite right. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Qatar was doing more shady stuff behind the scenes. Just hope it doesn’t work if they are
agree with you, but end of the day you paid a fiver for a bet worth £3, if you paid 40% more for anything you bought where would it end?I'll be happy with 200/1 if it comes off.
Besides only way to do a bet like this would be on the day on a bet builder. And they would slash the accumulative odds of all outcomes required in the betfred offer and it wouldn't be much difference either way.
Anyway who cares. Just a bit of fun.
No in Muscat, Oman. Flying in for the games. Cheap as chips really compared to staying in Doha.In Doha?
Im on the west coast of the USA, so I believe the games were at 1130 pm, 230 am, 530 am if memory serves. I watched pretty much all of the group stage games live then worked 8 am to 5 pm.How did those timings work out for you?
I assume you are actually American, that’s some commitment getting up at like 2am to watch Russia Vs. Tunisia
Yes but that's also a hassle doing the flights. I get it, but when I considered going it never really felt worthwhile. No in Muscat, Oman. Flying in for the games. Cheap as chips really compared to staying in Doha.
It was difficult but I was pretty into the game both playing and watching and it was the first World Cup I could get excited about. Didn’t watch games every night or early morning but caught all the US ones and then some specific knockout action. It was also summer and i was too young to work so just slept all day. Simpler times for me hahaHow did those timings work out for you?

Well this will be interesting if true
Being Welsh, like being an Evertonian. If my team get to the final, for the first time in a lifetime, I’m going.Yes but that's also a hassle doing the flights. I get it, but when I considered going it never really felt worthwhile.
I think you're forgetting what it was like when they were awarded it. It was not quiet and eventually lead to FIFA getting screwed left right and centre. The media were not silent about itBeing Welsh, like being an Evertonian. If my team get to the final, for the first time in a lifetime, I’m going.
I went to Rotterdam, it was amazing and I thought, one of many to come. Decisions made by others, meant it wasn’t to be.
I wish it was anywhere else but Qatar. Unfortunately the fans were given no choice.
As I’ve said before, the very loud protests now coming to the fore, could have been far more influential, had they been made at the time Qatar were awarded the competition.
It’s strange how silent all the media were at the time, compared to now. It was far more bizarre that Qatar were awarded the competition, than the fact it’s actually now being held there.
Apparently the head honcho out in Qatar blew a head gasket when he saw the Budweiser beer tents outside the grounds, in their agreed positions.
Orders given to move them all out of sight, pronto.
Qatar had finally agreed a plan for beer sales a couple months ago, but now senior royals in Qatar are uneasy about booze being so visible around stadiums. So operation hide the beer is now underway:
For Qatar, upsetting Budweiser is the least important of its concerns. Of all of FIFA's sponsors, Budweiser almost certainly matters less to Qatar than any of the others. For FIFA, it creates tension with longstanding partner that has paid millions. Current deal worth about $75m
