Worst act you ever saw live

Dr Hook at the Empire. They were okay but the bloke with the eye patch kept knocking over the mic stand and a roady had to scuttle on and put it back up for him only to do it again a few minutes later. Might have been an in band joke,but it was really annoying.

Watched Red Hot Chilli Peppers in London with an ex about 15 years ago. They were awful, Mika was the warm-up act and he was much better.

Luckily, my ex was a bit of a dirt and gave me a chew on the train on the way home, or it would have been a real disappointment.

Snow Patrol live were pretty dire. Tended to be drunker than a pirate at most gigs so was never a great judge

Saw him support Dylan in 1998. He sang every song a million miles an hour. At one point he walked off and the band continued playing for a few minutes before he came back on and grunted his way through the rest of the set.

Talking of Dylan seen him 11 times. On two occasions it was shocking. Greatest songwriter of all time (in my view) and it was shambolic. But 3 of times Ive seen him I’d put them in my top 10 gigs I’ve been to.

Both Dylan and Van are just how I like my musicians.

The Smiths at Mountford Hall , Bob Dylan at the Echo arena but I stayed till the end of them. The Pierces at Mountford hall I lasted 3 songs.
