I really rate Yakubu- never would have thought in a million years that we would sign him. He would be a great addition.

With AJ-Yakubu-Anichebe-Vaughan-McFadden-LotsOfYoungsters we'd really have a strong forward line for years.

Getting Yakubu and Fernandes this summer would mean that we'd have a very strong first-11 with very good subs as well. In addition to that, Moyes could focus his attention the coming years to increase the size of the squad since we've gotten rid of the players not reaching our standard. So no reason to wait out contracts or sell left-over players.

I prefer McFadden over Osman as well. Faddy's problem is that he's rarely played as an out an out striker for us which is his natural position.

I've always liked Yakubu and if we were to somehow pull that off, it would be the transfer coup of the year as I'd think there would be plenty of other clubs that would be interested.

Have we ever relied on Mcfadden? He's decent enough as a squad player i suppose. But as for Ossie, i can see Moyes playing him at some part for most games,

Moyes seems to really rate him highly. Personally I dont see the value in a player that falls over at the sight of the opposition, but I appreciate he has a lot of skill, if only those damn opponents would just let him do his thing in peace!

Also, apparently, we forced Porto to buy the rest of Lucho's contract by bidding for him, as that triggered a clause in the contract which meant that they had to buy out the other owner or sell him. Bet they're pleased with us.
