Transfer Rumour Yankuba Minteh

I always viewed him as a low ceiling/low floor player. He's played better after his initial spell here, but I don't see him getting much better technically and certainly not physically at this point.

What I can see is a switch in positions to make him more productive. At least in our squad, as it's constructed right now, many of his best attributes are wasted on the wing.
Some of the hype from establishing himself in the Burnley team was probably justified. He did really well as a teenager and played a lot. Him not getting picked up by the top clubs is a testament to good scouting, as I am sure he would have left Burnley early if he had his breakthrough 10-15 years ago.

Not sure why he should be moved away from his current position. Dyche for sure loves his defensive output. Offensively he is at his best when running with the ball. He'll not get as much space to do that centrally.

The idea of moving him centrally and get in a more exciting winger I get, but remember that this new and more exciting winger will be told do what McNeil does. Focus on defending. Sit on top of the full back. Act as a full back against top opposition to allow Mykolenko to move in as an extra CD.

If Dyche wanted more on the final third he would at least have considered to play Danjuma or Gray.

Dyches teams have never ever scored many goals and that is because he’s a negative, safety first manager. Most of our chances come from set pieces.
Dyches teams in last 10 years: Bunrley, Everton

Btw Kompany, who is now at Bayern and supposedly plays such attractive football only managed Burnley to score 7 more goals than Dyche in his last season there. Just saying

He creates the most, in our squad, in the middle. I understand that Dyche may not value that as much, but he does.

When he moves in from the wing, he creates an overload in the middle so I don't want to overstate his abilities there. But in the brief times he's actually positioned there, he's shown an ability to drop deeper, pick up the ball and the middle and progress play. We simply don't have that anywhere else (and perhaps that's by design).

I don't want to understate his defensive effort, but tracking back and an inability to beat his man on the wing isn't really a high bar to meet. It's certainly nothing to do with positioning, when he's been deployed at LB or LWB, he's been hopeless.

Dyche plays defensive, low block, direct football that will never yield a lot of goals.

Thats why he’ll never be asked to manage Bayern Munich!

No way that’s true. Minteh is refusing to talk to Lyon because he wants to stay in the premier league. No way he wants to join us if we would loan him out the next day

I don't understand why he'd be speaking to Dyche if he was to be loaned to Roma. What's the word for nonsense in Italian?
