They are probably just as likely as Everton to play Real Madrid.

My point is that when you play in the by far most popular league in the world and people worldwide are paying silly money to see your matches on TV, there is a big market to tap into. Money to be earned. Great possibilities to increase the number of fans. Shirts to be sold. Very good TV money even for friendlies.

The league smashed old goalscoring records last season. With an average of 3.28 goals pr game. 19 teams had an average of more than 3 goals a game. The outlier was Everton with 2.39. The by far most boring team to watch for any neutrals. The style of play doesn't make Everton attractive to invite for lucrative pre-season friendlies. It will affect the number of TV matches for the club (and TV revenue).

I feel like context has been ignored here.
Whilst that may all be true, we also had one of the best defences in the league last season (13 clean sheets) so yep, we were poor attacking but your lovely stat there is skewed by how impressive defensively we were relative to league position.

Styles and what you or others see as good football are all subjective.

I am confused by this. It's more exciting to see Burnley, Sheffield and Luton blown out of matches? I don't think that's the case, no.

Give me that derby performance against Liverpool any day of the week over Luton getting legged all over the pitch but winning 'nice' credits

But people don’t want to tune in, to a bore fest or pay big money for it either

Everton finished 15th and yet were on TV the 7th most last season.

So it hasnt yet.

TV, or Sky more specifically - don't really care about style or entertainment. They want Narrative. We were on TV so much towards the end of the season because they were hoping for a big story. Ever present Everton relegated and it didn't happen. They will always follow the stories throughout the season and we fell into that bracket last year.

Oh I know that.

As I said last time I posted, people enjoy watching a car crash.
