Lads I'm happy to go on record and say I'm not keen on this guy.

£30 million pounds for a 27 year old player who wasn't that amazing otherwise he'd likely be elsewhere, seems like a bad idea.

I'm holding on to the fact that I know very little about football, but hope the plan is for him to create more assists than score actual goals, leaving it to the strikers and that he is a late bloomer as the media say in regards to his value at that age, rather than buying "potential" and spending £30m on some up and coming unheard of player who plays in Europe. Like Fellaini was?

Comfort please.

it isn't £30mil Muggs, and will likely not get anywhere near that figure

I'm done with this club if we spend the transfer fee and wages quoted for this guy. Wigaton was bad enough, but Koemans signings so far are worrying.

This signing in particular, and the peripherals of it, should be bringing consternation to fans of every club, not just ours.

It's downright obscenity (If the reports are correct). There's justifiable public outrage when bankers are getting these sorts of amounts for failure. I'm not saying bolasie's a failure, but he's by no means a roaring success on the other hand.

But the wage constraints give a plausible and acceptable reason for us selling Stones this summer mate - as it would be for the betterment of the teams future re wages rising

I have to ask: can you imagine if we still had Kenwright as the controller of our destiny and he came out with a plan sell high value players as a way of cashing in to attract high wage earning marquee signings?

They'd have lynched him before he took his seat at Goodison.

Already mentioned the comparrision if we sell Stones and Lukaku this summer mate and have a negative net spend and how it would have been percieved - yet a lot will accpet that scenario sadly

This stinks of him anyway, imo.

Hi Dave, welcome back.

What do you make of the new boss and the signings and rumours like this one so far?

Thanks Muggins.

Open minded on Koeman. He's got good PL experience, and I like that. He should have all our support first season as a matter of course. Though that shouldn't block legitimate criticism first season if necessary.

Williams is a great signing. Bolaisie would be a ridiculous waste of money, imo.

Bolasie trained today with Palace

Pardew said no transfers imminent in our out.

Sounds like we are waiting for Benteke to come in (the agent is apparently playing silly buggars) before we give the go ahead.

If Bolasie plays for palace on sat,i am expecting the usual that he might get injured,or will they keep him out in making the deal go through, suppose we find out sat

Doesn't really like but again people can think what they want can't they?, stones has wanted to leave for over a year

We all knew he was off.

The fact that our transfer activity has only just kicked off (With any significance) since his sale makes this window no different to others under kenwright. Now, you can choose to believe all the faff that's gone on before stones' sale but there's no denying this scenario's all too familiar.

If there was no net spend (or little net spend) that will have alarm bells ringing. I think we're likely to keep Lukaku and have a net spend of around £10m-£15m. But the hoopla surrounding Moshiri's takeover will end.

There's no fast track for us. We have to get this organisation commercially viable and that largely comes down to a new stadium...in other words, it comes down to what we've been talking about for the last umpteen years. Moshiri standing behind a stadium scheme should though ensure new faith in EFC from local government and private sector potential partners. That's the upside to Moshiri for me.

Didn't koulibaly agent say we have basically offered more than Chelsea? So we have actual quotes from agents saying how much we have been offereing but yet people like yourself just refuse to believe anything
Agents chat bubbles to get their clients top dollar.

Ive been saying this, this window has been in some ways underwhelming, if he was still in charge people would of been having whiprounds for planes this time last week, just shows these things ain't as simple as replacing Kenwright and everything is on the up. A lot of the abuse thrown his way at times was over the top.

If we sell Lukaku as well this summer then questions will rightly be asked. One was always likely, two should be pushing it.
