Young EFC Players Out On Loan 17-18

I thought the same about all the Lukaku interviews tbf; he was just being honest -same as he is all the time but this is not something most enjoy (plus he’s a loan player they have no advantage from developing him).

Doubtful they would be worse off, they just would have sacked the trainer earlier. The same players, that won the title last year and got quarter final EL don’t suddenly become bad players. The first half yesterday was brilliant, Kums and especially Trebel were very good and I think an assist of 2, 3 of Hanni. Even Teodorczyck scored, could have had 3 or 4 but he didn’t-idiot. Second half wasn’t good they went from 1-4 to 3-4 because all the players were knackered. Will take a while before they can play at their old level for an entire match. PSG won’t be a pleasant experience.

I'm just talking more how many points his goals have earned RSCA. For example without 2 yesterday they lose 3-2. He's scored a few winners.

I think he would be better off staying at Anderlecht 'til the end of the season and continue developing. Coming here under these conditions won't do the poor lad any favours. Although being selfish we should bring him back if possible.

Is it true about the 'special talent' clause in the work permit rules, which would allow him to come over early?

If Walsh and Galloway are not going to be playing at the loan teams we need to bring them back even if it's just to play u23. I think all our loans should have been until January with the proviso if it's working well they can stay for the season.

There was talk of Walsh being injured at the minute

..I think Forest are live on Sky today, hopefully a chance to see how Dowell is progressing.

Interesting comments from warburton following the game today in his interview for talksport. Pointed out Dowell was at fault for derbys second goal but was keen to point out that Dowell had created and scored for forest and stated he would be a top premier league player for a fact. Was a great interview and showed a manager not just laying into his players but one letting his player know he can make mistakes and will be allowed to develop. It’s good news for Everton that there is someone out their trusting our youngsters to live up to their potential.
Have to put my hand up and say I was wrong about a championship loan being of no use to Dowell. Despite the fact that his failings still seem to be showing he is getting regular game time in a team trying to play football. Just got to hope that Warburton keeps his job.
Really hope that Walsh can force his way into cotterills plans at Birmingham.

I recorded and fast forwarded the Derby v Forest game to watch Dowell’s bits. Quite disappointing. There were a couple of bendy left footed shots which didn’t trouble the keeper, a number of deft flicks passes which were quality but overall he had no real impact on the game. He was at fault for the 2nd goal in a Scneiderlin kind of way , getting pressed by two Derby players and failing to do anything to prevent them taking the ball away from him . For me then , for all the brilliance we know he’s got he’s nowhere near being a PL starter yet, there is just not enough effort or impact in his game. I felt the same watching him for England u21 last week, there is another level which he can and needs to step up to . Hopefully Forest will persevere with him, this loan will do him good IF he can learn from it. He can certainly be a game changer for Forest but my worry is if the chips are down for the manager he becomes the first to get dropped.
Edit : Just seen the Warburton comments, seem very fair , wonder what fans think in that Dowell thread they have.
