I’m inclined to agree, but at what point do we have to reconsider that? He’s played virtually all of his football over the last 4 years in that position, being picked there by half a dozen or so managers. It might not be where we expected him to end up, but much of the evidence suggests left back might end up being his role.

It might but it's the same as saying Holgate is a RB in my eyes. Just with Galloway's progression being - well - crap, he hasn't even moved inside.

Do you mean the deep role Rooney has been playing? Not sure if Dowell can play there, Rooney is also a nuisance defensively...Dowell doesn't seem the type to run around and harry etc.

I think he's another 10...he and Vlasic may be after the same spot next season.
