Championship
Bolton Wanderers - Antonee Robinson played full match in 0-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Burton Albion

OS Match Report

Fan comments
"We were slow, ponderous and everyone was afraid to take the ball forward with the exception of Ameobi and Robinson."
"Robinson is absolute [Poor language removed] though. Every cross hits the first man, gives the ball away constantly and can't defend. I thought he might learn as he played but seemingly not." (More unprintable comments in this vein from other Bolton fans)
"A lot panning Robinson on here, didn't think he was that bad and others were worse."
"Very poor today"
"I also don’t think we should be playing Robinson, he’s a youngster, and makes so many errors every game."

Barnsley - Joe Williams played full match in 0-0 away draw at Brentford

OS Match Report

No particular Twitter or fan comments about his performance

Nottingham Forest - Kieran Dowell played full match and scored in 1-2 away defeat at Bristol City

OS Match Report
"Forest came out for the second half in need of a lift and they got one through Dowell almost straight from the restart.
The Everton loanee struck a superb left-footed shot from range over Fielding and into the top corner to give the visitors hope and reduce the deficit to one."

Twitter stuff
25' BCFC 0-0 #NFFC: Dowell wins the ball on the edge of the Forest box and breaks forward but is brought down by Brownhill who is booked
47' BCFC 2-1 #NFFC: Perfect start to the second half for Forest as Dowell's long-range strike drifts over Fielding and into the top corner

Fan comments
"Dowell couldn't get on the ball"
"2 mediocre teams banging it about without much quality apart from Dowell."
"9 for the season for him now. He looks lightweight at times and goes missing but he's always got a bit of magic in him. Give him a year or two to build up his strength and he'll be some player."

Ipswich Town - Callum Connolly played full match and scored in 2-0 win over Reading

OS Match Report
"The players of both sides wore armbands as a tribute to the Academy kit man and training ground caretaker who passed away suddenly last weekend, with applause before the game and on 67 minutes [his age]. Connolly held aloft his black armband after putting Blues ahead early on with his third goal for the Club..."

Manager Mick McCarthy: "Callum (Connolly) has been having a great season. He's helped bolster that central midfield, he's been very good and I keep saying to him, 'have you got a goal?'. He keeps shooting in training, either foot. He's proving my theory right which is nice."

Twitter stuff
WHAT A START! Superb finish from @Callum1connolly as his low effort from the edge of the box beats Mannone Get in!
45' Chance for Town as Garner zips the ball across goal and Waghorn's touch looks to fall perfectly for Connolly, but he just couldn't get it under control to get a shot away

Fan comments
"Connolly was my man of the match"
"That lad has got some talent. He was immense again today. Played the box-to-box role next to Skuse very well, got his goal and then sat deep in the second half when Skuse went off. Fantastic. He has such composure on the ball, an eye for a pass and is a tough b*stard when he needs to be. Not bad for a supposed right-back playing 'out of position'. Wouldn't mind Mick chucking Everton a bid for him considering regime change has just taken place. His future is as a central midfielder without doubt."
"For me, Connolly is the future. We NEED to buy him."

Leeds United - Matthew Pennington started on the bench and was brought on in the 85th minute of 1-0 home win against Norwich City

Sunderland - Tyias Browning played full match in 1-0 home win over Fulham (Brendan Galloway was an unused substitute)

OS Match Report
"Rui Fonte was then outmuscled by Ty Browning after latching onto a clipped ball over the top, as the sides continued to trade blows in their search for an opening."
"...but after a flurry of near-misses the Cottagers responded as Ruiter denied Fonte and Ty Browning produced a vital last-ditch interception."

Twitter stuff
5' Sliding clearance from Gibson to divert danger in the #SAFC box; Wilson and Browning combine to deal with the resulting corner.
40' Big chance for Fulham as Cairney is charged down by Browning and Ruiter gets down low to block. Well stopped!

Fan comments
"Browning was class too."
"Back to Browning though, I thought he was MotM for us. Not much got past him and I also thought his distribution was much better."
"He played well today, very solid and concentrated throughout but that's where he normally misses out - he can't maintain concentration levels for 90 mins, until he can he won't survive in the PL"
"The player should be chomping at the bit to sign here perm. Not like hes gonna get a game for them like"
"4 or 5 key tackles when we needed them, hes never really stood until now out but was excellent today."

League Two
Crewe Alexandra - Conor Grant started on the bench and was brought on in the 83rd minute of a 3-0 home win over Crawley Town

OS Match Report
"In injury time, the Alex broke away and after Bowery slipped Grant in, his shot was saved by Morris but there was Dagnall to tap in an empty net."

Twitter stuff
GOAL! Crewe 3-0 Crawley: Dagnall, 90+4 Grant is threaded in, Morris gets down low to save his shot, but Chris was on hand to put in the rebound!

...hopefully the penny is dropping for Browning. He’s got all the ammunition to be a decent defender, he’ll earn a very good living out of the game.

Connolly is interesting, I know some think he’s a LB but I think he’s naturally right sided. He’s certainly talented and he’s certainly versatile. It’s always good to have that versatility in your squad. Be interesting to see where his future lies.

Not a loanee, but I notice Chris Long scored a couple of goals for Northampton Town yesterday. Good to see ex-Everton youth players doing well.

I need to know how well Dowell is playing bar the boss goals.

Because Forest are the most inconsistent team I've ever seen.

Appreciate he can only do so much with the players around him like but i'd be interested to hear about his 90 minute contribution

..the last fan quote that @atrottel captured might be the best for consideration: ‘9 for the season for him now. He looks lightweight at times and goes missing but he’s always got that bit of magic in him. Give him a year or two to build up his strength and he’ll be some player’.

He's already putting up the numbers in terms of goals and assists (level with Diego Jota who plays in a better team (Wolves) and played in the CL for Porto last year).

If he carries on in this form he'll end the season with nearly 20 goals, from midfield, in an average championship team, at 20. Most of them are beautiful goals too, if he could add that awareness to follow in and get some scrappier ones too he'd be a real asset.
