CARL TILER WAS NOT REMOTELY BAD FOR US.

As for stupidest signing, James Beattie.

I think Beattie had a bit of talent, scored some nice goals and had a decent goalscoring record, but Moyes had us playing well with 1 man up front with Bent bombing around everywhere making a nuisance of himself. We then went and replaced him with a lazy work shy lump who could only play in a front 2 and paid huge money for him.

And how about Brett Angell? Not that he was crap (he was) but the fact that we actually had him on loan under Kendall earlier in the season that we signed him and still managed to get him on a permanent deal even though he wasn't good enough the first time around.
