2023/24 Sean Dyche

Sean Dyche has been sacked as Burnley manager after 10 years with the club battling relegation from the Premier League.

Burnley are currently 18th in the table, four points from safety. They have won just one of their last seven Premier League games, losing 2-0 to fellow relegation strugglers Norwich on Sunday.

Totally blameless.
Never said he was blameless, but crack on.

Sorry lads but he is crap. His record doesn't lie. 3rd worst manager we have ever had and we only stayed up last season because of a freak away win at Brighton which took everyone by surprise, manager included. He will take us down this season. 1 point out of the first 12 ffs. Baffling how anyone can defend him.

Within 4 years moyes had taken us to regularly European contenders

Dyche, minus his covid season, got more than 40 points; once.

McNeil has improved; Doucoure has not. He’s just been played. He a useless cart horse

If Dyches intentions at Burnley were “just to keep them in the league” it shows how poor his mentality is because he was unable to progress a team.
Dyche managed Burnley. Moyes managed Everton. Do you think Burnley should have been challenging for the uefa spots every season?

It's actually quite possible they both did quite good jobs, given their respective, very different, clubs.

Who's gonna replace him?

Who's gonna replace him?
Who cares. The toffee girl would probably do better or just do the sensible thing and let Bainsey take over interim until interim Bill is gone, the takeover is complete and a competent leadership and structure is in place.

Do you think we had any right whatsoever to be even close to European spots?

On our net spend of nothing and spending 2-3 years with no transfers, before that - having to sell our best player for next to nothing to keep afloat and buying players from the Championship or for as little as possible?

You genuinely believe it's because of that, and not because of Moyes. Doesn't matter what name the team had or how "big" you perceive either to be - Moyes performed more or less a miracle for next to nothing, as it was what he was hired for, Dyche is a nomark who's an expert in being relegated and eating worms.

Well, Moyes managed an Everton side on its arse.

Took the club from relegation fodder to the best of the rest, im not sure theres any comparison to Dyche.

We did, we had 39 points and 9 wins at least.

God the end to that season was abysmal, we had like 1 win in 10 games or something.
We were 12th on 9th April!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think we had any right whatsoever to be even close to European spots? We have no right to uefa places, it had to be earned, just like we have no right to pl survival.

On our net spend of nothing and spending 2-3 years with no transfers, before that - having to sell our best player for next to nothing to keep afloat and buying players from the Championship or for as little as possible? Similar situation to now with the players we are selling and buying, we are genuine relegation candidates now though, these last 2 years were far, far worse than the 2 years before Moyes. It's harder to sell 'Everton' now to an up and coming player.

I never said it wasn't because of Moyes, but comparing Burnley with Everton is like comparing Everton with Real Madrid. I also think it was a miracle we stayed up last year.

Tbh if we'd not absolutely crapped the bed for the last 5-6 fixtures we could've been top 10, ha
