In construction projects of this scale, any cost referred to in advance is an estimate at best. You can expect whatever figure is mooted now to be significantly lower than the eventual bill.
 

Don't think that was ever in any doubt. It looked detailed and genuine and the fact it had to be removed was a bit of a clincher.
Yes, that design spec was sufficiently detailed and had clearly had detailed project management / technical input that it is a very close approximation of what we will eventually see. Assuming we aren't relegated.
 
£300m for a 60k seater would mean a really high quality finish

Well i hope you are right but I believe that it would be somewhere inbetween Kirkby and a HQ fit and finish. (Bare concrete floors and block work walls etc.) I suppose it does depend if being on the docks makes it significantly cheaper to get the materials onsite.
