    An Everton band for BMD?

    Marching band for halftime shows

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

Honestly Dyche is a very odd manager when it comes to stats and I’ve really stopped trying to understand him that way. The bigger problem for me is more conceptual with him. We’ve played enough football down the years to know having the ball is (or at least can be) productive, that playing in...

Two of those have to play on the wing, two aren’t actually capable of playing the position and one is Abdoulaye Doucoure

Nah, play him at LB and don’t touch the attack that actually looks functional.

We just can’t do this McNeil at LB nonsense now that he’s actually played decent centrally. Surely not.

    2024/25 Michael Keane

It’s not going to fix as many problems as people are hoping it will.

    2024/25 Michael Keane

If you’re blaming him for the goal yesterday, which you did do, you’re essentially saying any goal that goes in with him playing is on him. It’s a corner. Everyone has a job. McNeil and/or Doucoure didn’t do their job. It has nothing to do with Keane.

IMO he should defend the entire box on corners alone. Only fair.

Interesting that Keane looked fine playing without Tarkowski last night

There’s a threshold for when it becomes a problem. Nothing wrong with playing more direct or whatever. There is however a point where you’re just allowing the other team too much of the ball and putting yourself under too much pressure. We are over that line.

Doucoure not attacking it, McNeil not doing it either

Excited for that goal to justify playing Doucoure more

McNeil having a strong game at #10 and ending up at LB next time out is something only this club and manager could concoct

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

I don't even know how this is debatable at this point. Ndiaye can play, McNeil was awesome today, Gana and Tim are both passable midfielders. That's all despite being set up to not compete in midfield or have many chances at real attacking play. Imagine just having a little more of the ball and...

    2024/25 Jordan Pickford

As with everything in football it isn't about one moment or one goal. DCL isn't bad at finishing because he missed two 1v1s today he is because he misses a higher than average amount of chances over long periods. And Pickford isn't bad because of those goals today, he is because he's done all...

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

Frankly with Branthwaite out it might not, O'Brien's readiness is a real question. A manager who doesn't place the utmost stress on his CBs might be more helpful.

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

It is because it makes it seem like fixing this just requires dropping him, which is not true.

    2024/25 Jordan Pickford

Teams have the memo that the 6 yard box is open to them. If we're being honest Branthwaite and Tarkowski mask his faults.
