6 + 2 Point Deductions

No Chelsea or Man City goals? That'll be them being even handed. That'll show them to fall foul of the PL.

There was Chelsea but no City............a few blues were already trolling but we need something more focused and planned- also has to have longevity and not fade

Its funny when you think about a snobbery around established corruption toward new money corruption.

Game is fashion clubbed U K.

Correct.

This cowardly judgement on behalf of the craven Premier League is a disgrace. Now there's talk of relegation for City and Chelsea - and that's what this was all about. City and Chelsea will pay a hefty fine and/or be relegated. It could in fact kill the league if the Scab 6 scuttle off.

A pox on the league. And also on Moshiri, Kenwright and Barrett-Baxendale for allowing it to happen.
Yep, on all counts.

Moshiri kicked all this off, but even then the punishment doesn't fit the scale of the crime.

Everton fans have been shat on by all concerned.

Dyche can still attend every interview but he could adopt the Blackadder pose of putting his undies on his head and sticking 2 pencils up his nose and answer every question with “wibble”.
I think Dyche should mention this unfair penalty within every answer to every question.

Media lackey, So Sean, How are you preparing for this weeks game against Man U
SD it's been a tough week, preps are going well made all the more difficult by the unjust and disproportionate ruling against us
Media Lackey, are there any new injuries to contend with?
SD DCL's knees have exploded but this is down to the unfai, unjust and disproportionate sporting penalty for an admin matter
etc etc

The PL punishing any other organisation over spending is obscene. The Saudi link is enough to condemn them forever.

We can never forgive or forget this though.

Everton have been transformed as of yesterday into a club who's supporters will be switched on politically to just about every situation that affects football.

This is going to be a political education for our fans, and the fanbase will never be the same again.

This is bordering on complacency. What you have posted is correct - but it describes what happened when we had no key injuries. We are an injury to DCL and Tarkowski or Branthwaite away from grave peril. If we lose DCL again - which sensible people would bet on - then our advantage over the promoted clubs shrinks. Throw in only one of them going on an unexpected run, and the alarm bells will ring loud - because realistically it's any three from four now (us and the promoted clubs).

Another point to remember: we go to Burnley in December. If we don't win at Turf Moor, we will have played all three promoted clubs in the league this season - and failed to win any of those matches. There's going to be an awful lot riding on that match, especially as there might not be too many points for us over the upcoming run of United, Forest, Newcastle, and Chelsea.

We may not get relegated - but there are plausible paths to relegation for us and we have a huge fight on our hands now against three squads who have just been given a precious lifeline and route to possible survival. Complacency is our biggest enemy.
Well said. There is a lot of naivety from posters thinking we will just breeze by the 3 promoted clubs. This could have a huge psychological impact on the players as well as our tiny little squad. Sadly we have to bin off the league cup. Play the kids in that

Refuse to do press conferences, refuse to do interviews after the match, refuse any premier league publicity

This is what I would prefer to do but we'd be fined or in breach of contract with the PL game after game. I should imagine players/managers have certain contractual commitments they have to do, though I'd love it if they came out (players and manager) and just say "nah, happy to take the 1k fine and I'm not doing any work in regards to the PL"

Wouldn't happen but it would be superb if it did. We need everyone to kick up as much fuss as possible, fans, players and management

Yep. They feared a legal case by other clubs and wanted the hot potato out of their laps.
Exactly. But unless i have missed something that wasn't part of the process to specify to the commission the timeframe for completing the review.

They overreached in even asking for it to be expedited. That shows that the PL failed to act 'with the upmost good faith' to allow their process to play out and should be argued as a mitigating factor against that being an aggravating factor for us.

Spent £19M more than was allowed for under FFP.

To paraphrase a line from Apocalypse Now: "Handing out 10 point deductions to Everton for overspending by less than £20M in the PL is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500".
