6 + 2 Point Deductions

Press seem very surprised at the size of the deduction despite the rumours which had been swirling.

One thing I did note is that they (the journos) are all calling for City and Chelsea to be treated with the same vigour … although Henry Winter speculates that nothing will be handed down to City for at least two years as the PL are already backs to the wall with the array of lawyers City have employed and Chelsea may never be charged as it was “self reported” and under another “regime”

Anyone else not surprised?

Our case was more straightforward.
1 recent charge, vs City’s 115 or whatever it is dating back years.

Theirs will take years to reach a stage of trial and punishment. By that time the rules will have probably all changed again and it’ll be swept away.

Thanks pal. Still a bit unsure how having so many cases works in city’s favour though, but appreciate your response :)

We really shouldn't be accepting any point deduction for off field breeches.

We do not have a choice, we can appeal. But the PL are basically giving us a "V" sign, we are being used to frighten other clubs. We are getting the fingers from the PL and they are saying up yours.

Interesting that this was announced at the time of the International Break.

Why would it not be a charge because was somebody else, and it was a self report but agree with you the so called top clubs will not be treated the same

No.

Absolutely ludicrous that this “oversight” regarding the stadium finances has happened under the noses of a majority shareholder (accountant by trade), chairman, CEO & CFO.

Then after the CEO & CFO got the bullet, the clueless chairman comes out with “this has been a great board” despite bringing the club to its knees both on and off the pitch.

You couldn’t make it up if you tried.

From what I understand, they’re building a case against City, but because of the amount of charges, it’s more complicated gathering the evidence.

I’m not sure City are complying in that regard either (submitting what they’ve been asked in a timely mannner).

Another thing that needs saying is that the Premier league have stabbed us right in the back and kicked the fans in the guts. We have been working with them very closely the last two years, selling players hand over fist, sometimes at lowered fee's. Apparently we have only bought players only on their say so, they apparently, again were happy with our talks with them about our reasons for the ffp investigation. But halfway through our " rushed" hearing, they came out and said if found guilty give them a 12 point penalty, knowing full well it's only 9 points for administration. A kangaroo court have made history including one man an ex employee with West Ham who was deeply involved in the Tevez Macherano fiasco was allowed to sit on and judge us. We gained no sporting advantage from this one breach, yet we have been given a sporting breach penalty, how was that worked out ? It should have been a fine, that our incompetent owner and board should pay for, not the Manager, players and fans should have been " hurt" with this.... But that is exactly how it has turned out. Beyond parody, Everton again the fall guys.

Yes that's taken over 8 years I believe, that is some building then Empire State by them proportions.

Undoubtedly City`s lawyers will use every delaying tactic in the book, as they`ve got a bottomless pit of money to pay the legal fees.

However, as we saw this week, when they represented the Nazi Party`s Rawanda deportation scheme and it was kicked out, they`re not bullet proof.

We definitely have a choice in this.

Agree they are making an example but we fight this 100%. Yes we accept we should have a punishment but we do not accept point deduction, we take ut as far as we have too at every stage.

Then we stat up rub their noses in it and build from there.

We absolutely have no choice but to fight it.

Yeah only we could loose points during an international break. Everton that.
