In 2 seasons has he put in a performance when somebody, anybody..on here? anywhere? awarded him a MotM

Average players have the odd good game
Good players have the odd average game

I'm still not convinced
Sell
Break even at worst
Hopefully pull somebody's pants down

Arsenal at home 1-0.
Tarkowski scored.
Outstanding in that game.
Gave me glimpse of potential the lad's got.

I don't think anyones saying that mate? Like I said he's inconsistent, i think some forget that he's still pretty young and not 27/28

Of course he'll look better in a team that doesn't always bypass the midfield.
You said hes had good games and been inconsistent. I said its rare ive seen a 7 from him. Inconsistent for me is good game bad game good game bad game. Not one really good game v Arsenal then bad game bad game bad game bad game good game bad game bad game bad game. Also sick of the same old excuses about him not suiting the system. What system does he need to at least look like hes arsed? Is that modern football now where players only try when everything is perfect?

Has there ever been a midfielder that has looked good playing for a Dyche team?

There is a lack of will to try to control games. Every single game Everton's midfield are outnumbered. 2v3 when they are lucky, but half the league seems to push a defender into midfield these days so Everton midfielders outnumbered 2v4. And when Everton have the ball, plan A, B and C are to go long. Play the ball ten meter over the head of the midfielders.

You could have world class talent on that midfield and it would look [Poor language removed].

Belgium have lost one game in 17 since Tedesco replaced Martinez. With Onana arguably their best player during this spell and one out of 3 or 4 untouchables when Tedesco picks his team. He dominated the midfield at Wembley. His 5 or 6 best matches the last 18 months have all been for the national team.

It was obvious from day 1 that Onana would never look good playing for Dyche. He should have been sold last summer. As his market value have dropped quite a bit due to how Everton want to play football and only will continue to drop.

It's a shame, as he probably is the most talented player in the squad.

*Clint Eastwood 'Bravo' gif here*

For me personally, he’s one of those players that is clearly a good footballer but doesn’t really affect football matches.
He seems really happy with OK performances. I’ve seen so many now - that I’m thinking he’s actually just a decent player. Nothing more.

A future Balloon d'Or.
As his experience and development happen at pace, he will soon be outstanding, bossing the midfield in games, adding goals and rocketing Everton into champions league contenders, the signs are there for all to see,
we have a great spine to our team for the future if we hold onto Pickford, Branthwaite (all the very best 22nd Birthday wishes !), Onana & DCL.

Not being funny but did you actually watch all these Belgium games? The games against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg?

And he didn’t dominate the midfield at Wembley - Mainoo was man of the match not just in my view but in the view of every match report/rating.

He was playing poorly for Everton and got dropped.

Undeniably, he looks a better player when afforded time and space (95% of international games are comfortably below Prem level btw) and when he has much better players around him.

He could genuinely be amazing if he really, really, truly wanted to.
I don’t know.
He can’t shoot, plays deep because he turns quite slowly, too casual, liable to a mistake. Even Gomes and Schneiderlin have occasionally looked good playing next to Gana when he does all the work.
I thought maybe Everton is below him - but he’s just the same for Belgium.
