Even if he goes on to do very well I don't think regret comes into it. The player himself has very clearly decided his time at Everton is over. The fee is broadly fair - at the end of the day if he was worth a lot more someone would be paying more.
Imagine not selling. His performances remain as they're, uninspiring. That's the only regret.

Yeah, it's a good point. There's only so long a player can hold / gain value on youth and potential alone. As he hits his mid 20s the performances have to start matching the potential more to show progress and if we are honest the actual performances over the two years have been mixed. He would have to be a good bit better next season just to hold his value let alone increase it.
