Hoofing it you lose possession. Playing a sh1te short pass at the back is more dangerous, for me anyway. I am not saying we shall not pass from the back but not all our players have the ability to do that consistantly.
No. You see we rarely hoof the ball from the back today. Maybe our manager wants the defenders to build up our play at the back but you see, players like Jags and Hibbo can't pass and hoofing is a safe bet for them sometimes.

I don't know what's worse, people assuming the result of a friendly to be significant or people who keep incessantly telling us it isn't. I think most Evertonians are aware of the big transition of styles, the fact it's a pre-season friendly and the fact it is the very first game. Winding me up.
