Would rest him on Sunday...no need for an injury at this stage having just come back.

I think we should put the best team we can out come Sunday.

No game for a fortnight after that.

Imagine finishing this week with breathing space in the league, a Wembley semi final to look forward to and a new found belief we can make something from this wretched season.

Nothing I would love more...but I also think that with our luck this season, we may end up with more muscle injuries to key players...Godfrey did a lot if running last night and you could see he was spent at the end of it...we need him as we are still in a fight for relegation

I don't see his future at Everton as a CB, he is not good at winning headers. There were a few moments in that extra period where I genuinely worried that a flick on was going to do us in.

We need an attacking right or left back and have him help on defense or pick one or two moments each match to burst forward.
He is very athletic but is a technically limited footballer and relies on his pace to make up for his deficiencies.
I would keep him at LB for the rest of the season and get him to focus on improving his use of his left foot…there was one incident in the 2nd half where he was played in down the wing and instead of taking the ball in his stride he tried to control with his right foot and the ball ran out of play…that was very poor.

My guess is you have never played the game.
Why is this bias always against right footed players.
Have you any idea what it is like to play on the opposite side to your natural foot.
Right footers always get asked to play on the left.
But you never see left footers asked to play on the right.
Lets put natural left footers at right back, like Townsend and Mykolenko.
Then when the fail to control the ball will you call them poor

Well you guess wrong Johnny.

I am naturally right footed but could play either right or left of midfield and a left sided centre back as I got older if needs be…it was not my preference obviously but I could do the basics with my left foot because that is what I was coached as I was growing up.

As a professional footballer he should be able to take a ball in his stride and push on once or twice a game even if it is his weaker foot and that is what I was referring to.
