Garbutt, Stones, Browning, Galloway, Pennington and Holgate. Even if a few don't make it, that is so much talent. And I thougth Galloway was excellent at the weekend, his cross for the first was fantastic

The real talents get their chance Mikey. There are few if any I'd have back now that we've let go bar Dier or ze German. We'll see
Early days yet
Could very soon be people shouting that he "isn't good enough" after a few so-so performances
I hope that doesn't happen, as I think we've got a gooden here
Supposing Garbutt returned to fitness in the next month and you had an option to recall him. Would you do it ?
A few weeks ago I think most of us would have said yes, if Baines's going to be out till Christmas.
But now I'm wondering what would be the point ? As long as Galloway carries out playing like he did yesterday and growing in confidence, and we have backup in Oviedo and Mori.

But the 19-year-old believes every Blues player deserves credit and says the key to victory was them refusing to be overawed by the Premier League champions.
“We know what we can do and we don’t fear anyone, especially when they come to Goodison,” declared Galloway. “They may have been the champions but we didn’t give them that respect. “We shouldn’t give anyone any respect, especially in games at Goodison. “We always know what we are capable of, we do it everyday in training, and we’ve started the season well. “To carry that on into this match was really important and we did that.” And on Naismith’s heroics, Galloway added: “He was unbelievable and to get a hat-trick against the champions is something special. “We all performed and put in a shift but Naisy was extra special.”
Galloway returned to the Everton side on Saturday following a knee injury. The teenager was making his sixth Premier League start for Everton after emerging as the Blues’ understudy to Leighton Baines last season. Just over 12 months ago, Galloway was playing for the club’s under-21s after joining from MK Dons but insists he has not been unsettled by the speed of his progression.
“I don’t feel any pressure because I train with top class internationals everyday so when it comes to the match, it is not new,” he said. “I don’t like to show anyone any respect. They might be the champions but we are on the same pitch for a reason. “I’m still young and still learning and hopefully I can get to that next stage. “I want to keep on working hard. “I’m humble. I have good parents who keep me grounded, which is important to me, and my sisters and cousins do that as well.
“I know what I am achieving but I don’t want to get too ahead of myself because I want to keep on improving.”
Galloway has now faced flying wingers Jesus Navas and Pedro in the space of a few weeks but says he never feels nervous before any game. “I don’t feel nervous,” Galloway added. “I prepare myself well and listen to my music to calm my nerves.
“When it kicks-off it’s just a game and you focus on doing the best for your team. “You forget everything else and who you are playing against. “The manager and the staff help us with that as well.”
wow, my god that's great to read.
regarding the contract thing, why are clubs so eager to offer players new contracts all the time? we seem to be renewing players' contracts every season!
is it really needed? i mean he's not going anywhere, he's utterly fantastic, he'll be within the england squad within the next 3 or 4 years i think. But why with the new contract talk already? i doubt he's going to be sulking thinking he's not getting reaped rewards after just 6 games.
anyway, he's turning into one of my fave players. he was a tad iffy against city, but to be expected, doesn't bother me, love his confidence, i love what he says about no respect. It's like 50 cent in get rich or die trying "show no love, love will get you killed".
Nah, he's a center half mate. He can just do a job at left back.I don't know why people see him as a CB. He has the perfect physique and height for a LB. I'd love to see Oviedo as Baines' replacement but that seems highly unlikely due to his injuries. Probably Galloway or Garbutt the two Gs will be out LBs for seasons to come. Good competition there.
Poor old jags he really must be feeling like a grandad back there, still love the bloke tho! Its just so fab to see the talent we've got back there + coming through and then you think of the age if keep them together for nxt 5yrs, that defence will just b another level from anyone around, if bobby could just get out there and find a young keeper who still got 10 - 15yrs ahead of him then what a building block for the team, finally someone is building for the future
Yeah think your spot in there mate, cos the lads will naturally look up to him at there age and that will certainly lift his game and confidence on the pitchThink the age of those around him will help jags develop into the captain he should be, cant see a greater reward for a veteran player than being the one trusted to mentor through amazing young talent, thats a huge vote of belief from martonez for him, as a player whose form is massively effected by his confidence then its a huge boost for us
*bookmarksI think he will be a good player but nothing amazing
