Stones looked a better attacking full back when he was 19, but Galloway looks more composed defensively. Still got a lbit to learn about positioning and at times he was too far away from the guy he needed to mark . Very promising display today .

He can't do too much when we are attacking, looks a little bit lost, bu he looks really good defensively, should be a really good centre half one day. Already can't wait to see him playing next to John Stones. In ideal world they will be our great centre half pairing for next 10+ years. Hopefully he keeps his starting position for the next few weeks, no reason to start Oviedo over him for now.

Picture it, 1-0 up away to Chelsea in about 5 years time. 85 minutes to go, Galloway and Stones just knock it between themselves for the rest of the game trolling Mourinho.

The guy who was sat/stood next to me in the 2nd half was his mate, who wanted to watch the 2nd half in the Everton end.
Now the lad has played centre back for mk dons, also left back and centre mid too,he reckons his biggest asset is pace with the ability to beat a man. He asked me what i thought his best asset is and i replied he looks comfortable with the ball and doesn't panic. He also revealed he could have signed for Arsenal Spurs and Norwich, but chose Everton for more chance of 1st team football, and his England under 19 /21 team mates. As soon as Brendan got injured he was off like a shot to see him.
Odd, but I can assure you true.

I read somewhere a while ago that england u19s built the side around him. Remember it also said he was playing centre back but bringing the ball out of defence and very composed.

Him and Stones arent meaty but they dont half let the opposition know theyre in a game. Galloway took out one of their players, totally floored him.

Delighted to see him getting games and great to hear about his mates being at the game.

Fantastic opportunity for him now. I wonder if Martinez will test him out at centre back this season.

Both games he's been kicked quite a lot, good to see it hasn't made him hesitant in tackling.

Hope he is OK, our left backs seem to be a bit cursed injury wise at the moment.

Think he's shown a lot of class so far. He's comfortable on the ball and has a good head on him. Not brilliant going forward but he's a centre half in the making. Not let anybody down in any of his appearances, he's come from a MK Dons and he's 19. Can't fault him.

Disagree. Stones never looked like a right back. Looked awkward playing right back sometimes. Galloway for me seems more fluid at full back than Stones did.

But Stones is definitely a CB and a world class one at that
