Generally cautious to believe anyone who claims to know too much, but seeing how the folks on here seem to have faith, I'm in.

Remember when you were at school and you really, really fancied this gorgeous girl. The problem was, she didn't even know you existed. Then, one of her mates said that she wanted to borrow your pencil so you thought, then, that you could be in with a really big chance and you got all excited. But in the end she f****d off with the best looking lad in your class.

Not how i remeber it. I gave her the pencil...she was very thankful as I recall...but then I am a "not to sound big headed" a bit of a big deal
 
Mourinho or not we should set a deadline for him and not let this drag on for weeks on end.
I would think we would be reasonably aware even in advance of what his demands are, and if we are serious about acquiring him, would assume it's not a problem.

No Mourinho to Everton deal would fall through our hands for the club being found wanting on his demands I'm sure of it.

The thing is convincing him of the ambition, the vision, the future, whatever is you want to call it.
In his mind I'm sure United is his choice. But we should bin them from our thoughts and if it's a case when we have made our best and final offer, he takes it or leaves it within 2 or 3 days.

Especially as HE approached us in April. Surely plenty of talking done already. He could go to Utd on 30 June and we would be still to confirm an appointment.

Except this girl is a bit mad and she might just say yes to you if she doesn't get her way to prove your mate wrong.
 

I've always said that it's not possible, and part of me still thinks that if Mourinho is talking to us, it is for the purpose of using us to get the Utd job. However, the more I hear, the more I think it may not be so absurd. If the Utd board decide against Mourinho (and we know they have their reservations), will Mourinho have a great deal of other more attractive options, given his desire to manage in England and our commitment to summer spending? This may be his time to spend & build a squad, which come in cycles and is not guaranteed at other clubs.

Also, Moshiri being friendly with Jorge Mendes helps our cause greatly.

Interesting times.
