Champions League revamp

Let me start from the bottom.

As founders of the Premier League, we didn't eradicate relegation, we didn't stop progression, competitiveness. There's a difference. The Premier League was founded and 22 teams got an equal share of TV Money. It was balance to a degree. How can you have a competition where theres no relegation, there's no interest for midtable, there's no motivation.

Champions League you don't want Red Star or APOEL who are there on merit, and not finishing 4th or not even near it like Arsenal. "Minnows" like Red Star who have won a European Cup in the last 30 years, they've only became minnows due to the big teams wanting more and more.

"Good Effing Football" is what you want? So it's fine for the big teams to receive an additional €400m, then compete with Everton and wipe the floor with us? I'm assuming you don't support Everton, because there are absolutely no benefits for Everton in a Super League being created.

I just don't think you get it, at all. Yes, lets ruin years of amazing academy work, and throw all kids into a lottery.... seems fair.
Fair enough, but you did it for money, and for your own best interests. THat's the same thing the clubs are doing now. Money and their best interest. But now you're the ones being told to eff off.

I'm just saying, from a consumer standpoint, the superleague is a product I'd want to consume, and will if it happens.

And depends how you define "support", yeah I like the club, one of rare Brit clubs that are likeable. That's about it, like seeing Everton win, dislike seeing them lose. As I said, I have my own team. Rest are just distractions.

Unfortunately for the City fans, if you could see only one team moving location to better improve their franchise it's City. Do they really need 3 clubs within an hour of each other when other areas would take them on?

A pox on the scab 6 owners.
I would have laughed at that notion just a day ago. Whatever the jibes from oppo fans, City have always had a good strong support. Not enough though is it. They don't want the local working class fan anymore, they don't need them. They can replace them with tourists who will pay more and buy tat from the shop too. Fans who watch via a tv subscription and maybe go to on or two games a year are now more important than season ticket holders.
The biggest disappointment for me on a personal level, is the club have got into bed with and put their faith in the very people who tried to destroy it. I won't watch another match, I'm done with them. I've got a few subscriptions to City stuff(apps and things) that will be getting cancelled.

Does the business you work for not try to make more money each year? There's nothing wrong with that.

You're ignoring the fundamental difference for some reason. The Premier League is not, and has never tried to be a closed shop. The ESL is.
Only because they never thought of it at the time, or if they did, knew it was a deal breaker

Why do you think this has anything to do with sporting merit? This is very simple, it's an entertainment product packed in the most shiniest of boxes for the consumers to enjoy. It just happens to be played on a pitch this time around.

This has nothing to do with sport, or whatever. And if I can choose between Liverpool putting 5 past Red Star Belgrade and Liverpool shipping 5 against Real Madrid on a weekly basis, I'd prefer that.
Sharp as a marble, this one.
