Haven't you got a conspiracy theory to espouse mate? Not like you that.Your use of exclamation, you tit.
But there are options to replace that with other revenue streams, PPV is one option that's obvious.
Yip, how about you being an impostor?Haven't you got a conspiracy theory to espouse mate? Not like you that.
No I think you're applying the rationale of longstanding UK fans to a completely different market. It simply doesn't work like that.Short term sure, but more meium term surely you just get a new set of big boys. A bit like when the likes of Newcastle, Black, Leeds, Forest etc fell away and were replaced By Chelsea and then City.
Like if we had this conversation 20 odd years ago, people probably scoff at the idea Leeds and Newcastle could be replaced by Manchester City, people would have thought you made.
United and Liverpool would be difficult losses in the short term. But the rest, I am really not convined they generate much more for the league than any other of the "big" sides being up there (us, Leeds, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Forest etc).
I also think the "Asian market" is probably slightly over played as a money making scheme. Yes lots of views, but the main revenue for the PL still comes from English supporters buying sky packages. I'm not wholly convinced people are going to massively stop watching, even if those teams were expelled.
Maybe it's just the straw that broke the camel's back ?As bad as this all is and as much as the clubs involved need seriously punishing the amount of hypocrisy getting thrown about is just off the charts.
UEFA, Premier League, Sky, BT and the rest are suddenly the paragons of virtue with a holier than though attitude as if they all haven't made the game about money and pushed whatever agenda has suited them over the years. Racism not even being tackled properly but the moment their finances get threatened they wheel out everyone under the sun to give their opinion.
We've all been sold financial fair play yet had to sit by and watch Man City cook the books, we've seen PSG buy Neymar and Mbappe as well as a fair few others it's all a load of absolute bollocks. We constantly get told about the big six and how amazing our league is yet we have a set of refs/officials which nobody can question, that can't be held accountable and quickly brush any mistake under the carpet.
If we want to be honest the system is broken, we are all being propped up by TV deals made on the back of the so called Sky 6 whether we want to admit it or not. Football needs a serious reset, if it takes these six teams moving away then so be it but some of the power needs to be redistributed to both the fans and the clubs.
Ah but did you know that "the Super League will deliver excitement and drama never before seen in football"?The best clubs every week? - trade description act broken on the first page.
If the PL grow a pair tomorrow we wont have to.Should Everton refuse to play Arsenal on Wednesday?
So basically all these clubs have done this on the proviso they won’t get chased. If PL have a backbone and call their bluff tomorrow, they will back down and this will collapse
