Can we as clubs and the PL kick out the greedy 6?

Saw that being mentioned on here today, but just no way I could keep up with the many posts

I actually really support Scottish Independence. Always loved it as a country. But from a footballing perspective it could work, maybe with new northern and southern tiers below the championship.

Certainly agree with the last bit. A lot of Scots fans of clubs other than the Old Firm would welcome their departure.

The leagues won't go along with UEFA because they have to - they'll go along with them because the alternative is an existential threat to them.

If the clubs tomorrow don't vote to kick the six out, they're insane. Yes, they'll take a financial hit, but they'll still exist and rake in profits in future years. All they have to do is survive. If they let this happen... All I can say is football will be dead and they deserve to die.

The 14 have to hold their nerve and tell the scum 6 to f off.
If you try to appease these lot they will bleed you dry.
Yes , in the short term there will be a financial hit for the EPL , but nothing that can't be recovered over time.

Winds me up when you see Chelsea/City fans say: "imagine how boring the CL would be with Everton and Leeds in it"

When as you say 15 years ago Man City were some little tinpot yoyo club no one gave a damn about.


I really hope they just go - be absolutely fantastic if we dont try stop them and kick them out tomorrow.

Wont happen though the PL and Government will drag this out for months on their knees begging for "negotiations" and "dialogue".

Imagine how boring it would be watching teams compete in a competition who are there on sporting merit and not something they’ve set up themselves and only that select few clubs can compete in it.

I believe this is down to covid.

Inasmuch as COVID has played a part in making the PL much more unpredictable now there's no home advantage. I think, at the root of it, is the Big 6 frightened of other teams breaking up their monopoly.

That’s their only way to defend this breakaway league. Seen loads about how MBappe will be tired of winning so many Champions Leagues.

How boring and tiresome is it gonna be competing in a closed off league with little chance of winning anything.

I’ll just watch the Spurs and Arsenal game to see get them get spanked around by the big boys.

Honestly I don't think you are saying anything there that most don't think already.

It might not all be getting discussed right now but it's understandable given this bombshell, that right now only this pressing part of the overall problem is on people's minds

Of course mate but seeing the massive fallout from this perhaps now is the time to push for real change rather than just ''kick them out'' and go back to the status quo. We can't be having rats who have sold the game out for years positioning themselves as the good guys simply because they aren't the super league. Everyone needs to be held accountable for the utter state of modern football.

All this noise and UEFA have just slipped through their Champions League changes that lets elite clubs who haven't qualified in through the back door based on history.
