Champions League revamp

What happens if it goes tits up and they backpeddle? Do we just get on with our competitions and pretend like nothing happened? They can hardly be punished if they hadn't physically left yet. It'll be a properly weird situation.

Just look at England....once it was the Sky 4, and they were fairly well protected as far as Champions league football and money went....then City came along, now its 5 clubs fighting for 4 spots, thats doable....

then suddenly Leicester broke into it, Spurs broke into...now its 7 clubs fighting for 4 spots...

then we get money, and have closed the gap, now its potentially 8 clubs fighting for 4 spots....big problem...

currently Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea (3 of the original Sky 4) are now out of the CL places....financially they can't have that....so they're fighting to change the rules again...give us more money, but also give us more CL spots...

Ultimately I think that's what will happen...UEFA will back down, and give these clubs more money and more places...and the PL will happily go along with it...
The 3 main leagues will get extra CL places, and life carries on....
UEFA and various FA's will not like it, but I don't think they can afford to lose their top clubs (will they simply cant sadly)...its a kick in the balls to them and us fans too, but we may have to live with it...

We'll see, one thing is for certain, one party is going to come out of this with egg on their faces. Either the ESL or UEFA

How boring and tiresome is it gonna be competing in a closed off league with little chance of winning anything.

I’ll just watch the Spurs and Arsenal game to see get them get spanked around by the big boys.

Maybe all the good players will leave their clubs and join Everton and Leeds
 

I don’t know how those clubs in the top half on the league would vote, but, surely there will be an incentive for the bottom 3 and those hovering above there to vote against these 6 clubs if it means saving their premier league status?

You're right mate. Remember when FIFA went nuclear with that Dutch player who broke their advertising rules? EUFA and FIFA might pay only lip service to issues like racism but when it comes to cold hard dosh, they will go the extra mile to protect their brand.

Whether it goes ahead or not you can bet that in a revised PL, my beloved Brighton will still finish below Palace despite being the better team. I hate football.
