Im sorry to say but they really can.

As Neville said, £5 a game, direct to smart phones, 150million United fans worldwide.

Do that maths.
See another thing is where the home games are played, they could easily move them around the globe with that fanbase, Rio De Janerio, Beijing, New York...etc Liverpool could do them same including Oslo, that's the next step.

I think you must have mate. The only way that interview wasn’t spineless was if they didn’t want to show their hand.

The thought of someone like Steve Parrish going up against these billionaires is a joke. He doesn’t operate at anywhere near the right level.

The fact that he appeared on MNF shows that.

He can't speak on behalf of other clubs obviously, but his message was very clear - if you can tell me the parts where he said they'd bend over I'm all ears. All I heard was a token "we'll see what happens" when talking of if there was any way back, but nothing else; he had to say that.

As it stands, it was crystal clear what he was saying - if they go ahead, they're toast.

I'd subscribe for five quid a game, but the downside is I'd have to buy a new phone every couple of weeks after throwing the old one against the wall after we drop points against the likes of Burnley and Newcastle.

They want the money they generate.

Cos lets be honest, they all generate the most, they want it all, they don't want to share with "lesser clubs", they want to share it will other teams that bring revenue and Spurs.

I can kinda see their point, but its selfish and greedy, hence everybody reaction.

Yeah but look at la Liga, la Liga is a market where Barça and Real get a lions share of the TV revenue, something like the remaining 13 teams get 20% of the TV money, and what do you get?

Boring, uninspiring football.
The standard outside the top 4-5 is absolutely disgraceful, lower end Championship stuff, and why? Because they’ll never ever compete.

Fully understand that they get the most viewers, but the reality is, the big 6 are a big part of the league and why it’s the best league in the world, but so are the other 14.
Norwich Beat Man City, Watford beat Liverpool, West Brom Beat Chelsea 5-2... it’s the best league in the season and when you start favouring other teams... you’ll get a diluted, less enjoyable product.

But yes, I’m full expecting some pressure from the big boys to the lesser teams of the division, your Burnley’s, Watford’s etc... to vote it through and use their stature to get more TV money.

The fans don’t want it, the proper match going, domestic fans do not want this, and why would they?

It’s a reward for your suffering and hard work getting Barcelona in the Champions League, winning a final... when you’re guaranteed, why would you even bother?

In a nutshell really.

But the owners of United, RS, Arsenal, didn't build the club's and their fanbase, they inherited it and already reaped the rewards of that. So they're not entitled to every penny imo.
They didn’t inherit it. They paid money for it. Unless fans walk away from clubs they are sitting ducks

That's the thing though, they can't find more at the minute and 12 probably isn't enough. And even then all 12 want to be top dog or at least close, so it still presents a problem.
Oh its gonna be boss when they all eat each other.

Cos they will.

Im sure the chairman Perez wont favour Real.

Im sure its perfectly fine for club owners to also own the tournaments they play in.

NOTHING can go wrong there at all.

Danish FA boss Jesper Miller claims that players contracts automatically lapse when clubs opt out of UEFA tournaments.
He is advising players to join loyal clubs so that they can play in the Euros this summer.

I think that’s were all this talk of “legacy fans” and fans of the future comes into it. The plan is probably to still participate in the domestic leagues but almost as a token gesture to the local fans who will be priced out of the super league games once the fixtures start going globally.
