Champions League revamp

All it will cost them to pull out is money, which they have in abundance.

If I'd put myself in their situation, I'd be offering what I know the other side wants - breaking the thing in return for the hammerblow of retaliation falling on Liverpool, United and Madrid, and not me.

They dont though (City/Chelsea aside) hence why they are pushing through with this.

Its happening Sky just love stirring the pot - we need to hammer it home today that if this goes ahead no more domestic football. I imagine a good few of the sides couldnt care one bit anyway as its less fixtures and they can just play once a week in the super league.

True. Same as Durham and co. My mate got sucked into wasting a fortune on phone ins because Durham was calling Beckham one of the greatest ever lol

Oh always, they are constant.

They very rarely agree, and they usually pull in irritating people like Simon Jordan, Jason Cundy etc... who people want to call up and put in their place, but the reality is, it’s £15 you’re not getting back

I was referring to City/Chelsea specifically as the sides with the money to pull out and blow the whole thing wide open.

The rest are in to the bitter end.

But that’s the thing, they do.

Remember this isn’t about the clubs, it’s about the Owners, not the club it’s self.

Werner, Glazers, Groenke, abrahamovic etc... they’re all billionaires, if you find the club, you fine the club, not the owner.

These don’t “need” the money, they just want even more of it.

Once one of them does a U-turn, the whole idea will cave like a pack of cards.

Man City are the club in there with the most ties to their true fans. It’s on them to be the ones to pull out.
Respect and trust for the clubs are flung out the window though. Surely there must be some punishment even if it collpases?

I mean... as long as you’re aware that KHR is going to be trying something radical, less radical than what’s going on now, but something bizarre.
Of course he is. He has already agreed the UEFA CL "reform" from the perspective of the superclubs and has effectively executed a reverse takeover of UEFA by his appointment yesterday to the ExCo. This will now be the starting point for UEFA concessions with Killer Kalle the "honest broker" when the inevitable "compromise" is brokered. He's almost hiding in plain sight. He is as devious in the boardroom as he was in the box. And I reckon he gets Klippety too, now that Bayern is a "moral high ground" destination for the "principled" Klopp.
