Champions League revamp

They declared an intention.

They cant enter a competition that doesn't exist.

A court of law would laugh at that rule.

For the record I want all 6 relegated to DAS SPL.

But I can see why no sanctions will come, but lets not forget, my record on predictions is quite possibly the worst in Europe.

If there is a will to punish these clubs it can be done. They could take it to the highest court in the land if they wanted, but they probably wouldn't. They know the damage to reputation they've suffered is catastrophic and to challenge any punishment would be seen as beyond the pale.

There is no way this can go back in the box with 6 apologies (or 5 plus Liverpool's insulting comment). No way at all. Anyone who thinks that this can go unpunished is dealing in abstractions. The only debate now is over just what punishment they receive. It could be financial or points deductions. Starting them all off with a 10 to 15 point deduction next season and massive fines would be them getting off lightly, but it could assuage many.

Can read the bitterness by Utd and Liverpool in their statements... they are fuming!! lol

These 2 clubs especially have shown themselves for what they are and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a change of ownership at Liverpool after this. Spurs statement was rubbish as you would expect from them. Arsenal have tried to show real regret and fair play.

I don’t see how they can be punished owing to such a quick withdrawal. But they will be hurt in other ways: most importantly they have shown they’re impotent when the stakes get real. Many said they have the money so they hold the power. This has proved to be untrue.
They only have power because of the fan base, once that turned so did their power. Although they flipped so fast it’s almost embarrassing.
Without City and Chelsea they were done and they knew it. The withdrawals for Utd and Liverpool had nothing to do with their fans.. the game was up.

Far reaching reform will come now to prevent this happening .. that will be their punishment. And they have no power to push against it.

Yeh just blows my mind. Imagine going absolutely mental on a credit card and never really having to pay it all back.
Debt is fine as long as you can manage it. Why spend when you can borrow is the way a lot see it.

But there comes a point for every business, organisation or individual where you can no longer service your debt. I think some of these clubs are getting close to that point. Spurs have a lot of stadium debt and thats why I expect them to cash In on Kane this summer.

Yeh that’s why I picked Spurs. They have 1-2 star players, a stadium that cripples them and they’re not even guaranteed Europe after Kane leaves. They’ll be screwed.

They are the victims here, mate. They turn my stomach.

If there is a way to punish the owners then I'm all for it. I just dont see how it can be done.

If I was representing one of the 14 clubs I would definitely refuse to cooperate with anyone involved in the ESL project. You can't collaborate with someone you can't trust.

Even if they just force the 50+1 rule on them that would ensure it doesnt happen again.

Would let the staff/players/manager off whilst still punishing owners.

The idea was leaked a while ago and dismissed as just thoughts and nothing happened. Well it obviously wasnt - they were mid planning.

Now they have attempted it and failed, so if nothing happens, next time they will attempt it and succeed.

Before the dust settles on this and the 6 despicable owners get truly lambasted for their actions , lets not kid ourselves they where the only people that where complicit.
Each clubs CEO , board members and club legal departments will have been involved for this to be put in motion.

Each & everyone of them knew what was going on.
No doubt in the coming days/ weeks we'll see boardrooms reshuffled and resignations.

not to mention they have CL and an NFL franchise baked into their income schedule.

They are the ones who could end up in administration.
