This is actually more substantive than you think. Sidelining them lays the groundwork for what the actual punishment is likely to be, as it's something all 14 clubs can agree on without wavering or fearing the competitive implications:

TV rights split straight down the middle. No more merit payments, prize money or complex formulas. Equal shares for everybody. You lot wanted an American model, eh? Here it is.

That would sting. It hits them on cashflow and on the value of their business, but not hard enough to walk, because then they'll lose the gate and a fair chunk of the merch, plus there's the specter of government intervention hanging over their heads.

Seen Premier League Rule L9, which forbids clubs in the league from entering other leagues without the approval of the PL./clubs within. We know the league's stance on this.

It May not still be the case but I remember when we finished 4th under Moyes and the RS then won the CL, UEFA initially said only four English teams could qualify for the CL, at that time the FA had the right to Vito who would get in and decided it would be us. UEFA then backed down and let them in as well as defending champions. As we all know they then stitched us up in the qualifier v Villarreal. My point is doesn’t the FA have the final say on who qualifies out of the PL and how? and if so if UEFA don’t ban them from Europe could the FA decide they’re not fit to represent?

Poor choice of words - you're right.

Ive said they should have the book (all books) checked straight at their heads, but the loss of realism around relegation, 5 year bans, banned of the TV, Transfer bans, massive point deductins and so on, while it should happen is just not realistic.
