Computer games.

I don't wade through anything, either on pc or console.

I know what kind of games interest me and thus I keep an eye on them through development and if they get positive response upon release ill check them out. There aren't many games I regret buying.

Not as good as what ? There is no comparable game on console to Tarkov or Squad... that's the entire point, you cant get these specific styles/genres of games on console, they literally don't exist because the user base for them is historically pc based (for various reasons).

As @Tubey has pointed out there are many more examples such as RTS games, football manager etc

All you have to do is try and play Command & Conquer on the PS1 then try the same game on the PC to know the difference.

Or Age of Empires 2 on PS2 vs. PC.

Yeah it's the Touch version isn't it, basically an expanded mobile port.
Touch isn't really an expanded mobile port. It's a slimmed down version of the full thing. Sounds like splitting hairs, but there's a pretty big difference.

Touch still has the full match engine, database etc. It just trims out some of the more detailed/time consuming features (press conferences, interactions etc)

Don't think it does, but regardless it's the point I'm making; it's had to be reworked for console.

Well I don't know about the Xbox version, but Touch does have the full DB. Just by default you're limited to selecting 3 nations. However is using the PC/Mac version of Touch you can take off that limiter and have huge numbers of players loaded.

Are we still having the PC V Console debate on here?

Surely it depends on each individual's personal environment and situation. I spend all day at home on a PC for work sat up at a desk. I love playing computer games, and for me playing on a console is the most accessible, comfortable way for me to do so. I log off my laptop, go downstairs, get on the couch, grab a controller and get comfy

Why does everything have to be a competition? Yeah, PC's are capable of producing more visually impressive games (not that i'm convinced that the average human's eyes can differentiate) but I'll never own a gaming PC.

There's an awful lot of chat about graphics on here as well - Probably about the 4th most important thing about a game but the thing that most people get hung up on.

Not sure about that, buggy or bad graphics can inherently turn a great game into a extremely forgettable game. I was a console gamer up until this year I forked out on a gaming PC with one of the new shiny GPU's and I'm honestly blown away. I still use a controller because that's what I'm used to but the only different is i'm using a monitor rather than a big TV.

Completed Cyberpunk yesterday and have mixed thoughts on the game overall, as everyone probably does. I found the main storyline great and was genuinely interested and felt invested throughout, loved the different side quests that contributed to outcome of the game. The main character was great and it felt personalised that we were able to dictate their personality and engage in conversations.

On the flip side, the sheer amount of bugs was mind-blowing. Game never crashed for me but the amount of times it didn't render properly or bugs interrupted conversations/parts of the game was crazy. No idea why they thought it was a good idea to release it when they did, it feels like it would need another 6months+ of development to make it a finished product.

So it is worth playing, I've got the game on the ps5 but just decided to hold off on it until the bugs are fixed

They released a big update the other day which is said to have fixed a lot of the bugs. For me none of the bugs made it unplayable, more just frustrating. I would be incredibly doubtful that they'll ever fix them all, at least this year anyway. That said, I do think it's worth playing through - I really enjoyed it but don't find much replay value in it.

Not sure if the patches up to this point are available on PS, because it was removed from the PS store and hasn't returned yet. Don't know if that would interfere with patching etc? I got a refund on mine because even on PS5 is was HORRENDOUS at launch.

That patches are available on PS5. I actually played it for the first time in a few months yesterday and had to download one. Did a couple of hours of the early story. Lots of bugs but none that made it unplayable at all. I quite enjoyed it but need to play more of it to get a better idea.
