Holy hell these goal posts, they just keep stretching. We had one of the greatest managers of all time, which helped! But if you don’t think fans in stadiums influence games then I don’t know what to tell you.

In that period winning at them places as you rightly highlighted was a huge challenge and I certainly remember the feeling if you only lost 1-0 it was a good result (which I don't agree with but it was the general feeling)Yes, it is not a good record, but when you consider that those 4 teams went about 6 or 7 years where they only got beat at home by a non top 4 team on 3 occassions, it does put it into a bit of perspective.
Holy hell these goal posts, they just keep stretching.
Has Moyes? We've only pointed it out to you 30 times now, fairly obvious thing, but to spell it out:No idea what you are on about mate. Have we won at those grounds with fans in and I’ve missed it?
Personally have no issue with the concept of him taking the job, it’s manner in which he did I find a bit off, along with his behaviour towards Everton once appointed.
For someone who had often talked about doing things properly, esp around transfers, he certainly didn’t practice what he preached.
Knowing full well our supposed financial constraints, he could have garnered a fee for us, and gone with most people blessing, but he elected to see out his contract having clearly been tapped up some considerable time before.
He then made approaches for two of our best players, again perfectly entitled to, but to make such a ‘derisory’ (Moyes v Hughes 2009) bid AND suggest Everton was holding their careers back was quite the slap in the face.
Everton did more for Moyes than he did for us, his spell here still being the pinnacle of an average career.
Has Moyes? We've only pointed it out to you 30 times now, fairly obvious thing, but to spell it out:
We've won at those grounds - an actual fact. Mitigating conditions meant no fans for most of those games, so "equal grounds", right?
Well, Moyes has not - another actual fact. He instead went to away games to any of the "sky 4" during covid times already defeated, as is the Moyes way.
Glad to also take this as your confession that you disregard the game we won at Anfield that season too, for example. No doubt you didn't celebrate as there were no fans and it didn't matter.
You keep moving goal posts - "there were no fans", "we had the best manager in the game at the time", "away games didn't matter", whatever else is next? The wind wasn't right whenever Moyes plays/played away to Man United and the RS?
By inventing new arguments mate.Ok mate. My initial comment was ‘we haven’t won away at the ‘big six’ with a crowd since Moyes left’. (I accepted the 1 win at Old Trafford!)
You tell me how I ‘keep moving the goalposts’. In fact don’t bother.
By inventing new arguments mate.
It's pretty much the definition of the metaphor mate.
Like when it was repeatedly pointed out that if it was that easy - Moyes himself would've done it mate. But he didn't mate.
Or when you then pulled out the "but we had the best manager in the world", when that apparently didn't matter up until you decided it's relevant for no reason mate.
Bye mate.
Ok mate xGood reason to put you on ignore as you are a f’king dreadful poster. Bye.
I remember the 4-2 defeat against Man utd in 2006/07 season. We went 2-0 up and a Turner howler and Neville own goal and we crumbled to a 2-4 defeat.
Always one step forward two steps back with him.
Without moyes wed be hanging around in the second division if we were lucky. (1)
The club was in a massive mess and only heading one way.
He took over and literally changed the club from top to bottom (2) and had us as "best of the rest" with a avarage spend of 3m a season in transfers (3). He went 3 transfer windows without bringing in a permanent transfer and having our best players sold off and still had us challenging for Europe.
Also lets not forget moyes didnt put the bids in for our players Woodward did. Fair enough though his comments were stupid.
Doesn't take away from the fact he was a fantastic manager for us anyone who says different is mental.
Id personally be made up if dyche was sacked tomorrow and we brought moyes back in (4)
Yeah, Kenwright was why we never went to play football against any of the "sky 4" (at the time, now "sky 6").Terrible isnt it, got relegated too that season didnt we?
Oh! No wait we qualified for Europe nvm.
If people want to have a go at anyone have a go at kenwright who failed to back a manager that had us within a nats pube of top 4 for over a decade. And could of sold us on at any point as has been proven over the last month of the club being up for sale
My one step step forward two steps back wasn't meant to be a heavy criticism but a frustration that I'm sure the fan base had during that time too.Terrible isnt it, got relegated too that season didnt we?
