As with everything in football these days it comes down to money. If we can get any awkward Spurs clauses removed and keep him on eg a one year plus club option deal on far lower wages with a big chunk of them contingent on being on bench/playing then it is lower (not no) risk for the long-shot reward. A gamble probably worth taking for a squad short on flair. If there is any fee and/or fixed high wages then it is too much guaranteed risk for a less than certain reward. Not worth it.
Agreed. It's up to Spurs to not be knobs and Dele to accept a cut deal
otherwise we should move on when he's recovered

At what point does he become a free agent? Have Spurs not released him from his contract? Why have Spurs not demanded be report back to them for pre season rather than us? The whole thing is utter madness.

Folks, for all we know it could have been the club/Dyche who told Dele to focus on next season.

It wasn't in our interest to play him because we couldn't have paid his fee even if he was fully fit.

There's only one persons opinion who matters - Dyche. Is he confident he can get him going? If yes, if the finances work then why not.

We're on our arse - we've retained Ashley Young and we were desperately hoping Leeds didn't get promoted because of Harrison.

If he's fit and able to play, then he only has to get to 50% of the player he was to be one of, if not our best player.

Knowing our luck, if he stays he doesnt kick a ball again. If he leaves he'll roll back the years.
This is the crux.

Thelwell and Dyche are tasked with progressing a side without cash. They'll have to take a couple of risks. This is clearly one.
