Carlo should be identifying 1st team players he wants, Brands does the negotiating and youth recruitment to fit Carlo's requirements.

I like the idea that with a DOF on board sharing the club's values, then it lessened the chance that if get a random manager who doesn't, but starts signing racist players who cheat like stink (like the neighbours), or who are just bellends. Instead there's more liklihood we get decent humans who (hopefully) are good at togger too.

A squad of footballers who are capable of competing in football matches, capable of being able to put a tackle in, capable of being able to play a forward pass, capable of defending, capable of being able to do more than potter around looking barely interested is all I ask. As things currently stand your man Marcel is no better than Walsh was, most of his signings could leave tomorrow and numbers aside we wouldn't miss any of them
