Overall, I think he's not up to it.

The glimpses we get of any ability in between lengthy (and well paid) injury spells are more of a distraction.

Why is he so injury prone?

And the dressing up thing was ridiculous.

Most importantly he has not always contributed when playing, it's taken years of waiting to see any kind of return and the club's trajectory in that time is fact. That of course is NOT all DCL's fault, but he's a bang average forward that we've given too much time and money and hope to. He alone will not be the reason for any eventual relegation, but patience instead of hard headed mgt will be contributing factor in his case.
Never read so much drivel in my life. Have you given this post some thought? I'd be worrying if so.

It was brave. It is another injury. With more game time maybe he wouldn't have felt the need to charge in. If anything with a bit of fitness behind him (which I hope he has), perhaps he was really trying almost too hard to put it around a bit rather than pick his battles.

Overall, I think we need a better more reliable CF. We might not be able to afford' better' in some eyes - but think we can afford more reliable in Adams, and it will provide a focal point for the squad.

"What like Maupay?" is the obvious retort. No, with height and athleticism, which might also give Maupay a few more scraps to feed off in the box.
Silly comment.
If there is a criticism it is that crossing from wide is just about the only way we are creating chances at present.
People would also be complaining if he didn't go for the cross saying he had lost his nerve... he can't win.
It is a physical game, players get injured , it was related to previous injuries but that is why we need more than one striker.

First question of the presser was about Doms fitness for the 343rd consecutive time.

That's because...

You sound very ignorant.

And yes, it took years, as we signed him as a kid and had to develop him. He then had 2 consecutive seasons of 15 and then 21 goals. And then has had some bad injuries and been badly managed. He has also had a couple of freak injuries.

The clubs trajectory in that time is not on him. It is on the board and DOF for not bringing in adequate back up to allow him time to properly recover before consecutive managers have rushed him back.

Whys he getting checked for his injury tomorrow? Wouldn't it make sense to get it checked almost immediately instead of 4 days later?

Genuine question by the way. Just feel its a while to wait to get it checked

Dyche clearly says in the presser the specialist told them to come back once the swelling has gone down.

I would assume they check them multiple times during the week?

no, the swelling needs to go down, X rays will show breaks, but the swelling may make the displacement look worse, ie it may restitute once the swelling has gone down and lead to the conclusion it doesn't need reparative surgery. A lad I played cricket with had such an injury when I played in a youth team with him, his dad was a consultant and explained this and added if it needed surgery they'd 'just' pop a spatula type implement up through a cavity and 'pop' the cheek bones back into place. Not sure his 15yo son was quite so calm after the explanation.

My comment's not silly. Are you actually saying his bruised face relates to a previous injury or was that just a typo?

Facts. In 7 years he's averaged under 7 goals a season.

He's managed around half the available games.

I'm not criticizing his character, values or being personal about him.

As a fan and oberserver of the club (as we all are) Everton should consider him a 3rd choice striker, behind 2+ strikers players that can play regularly in order to build consistency and momentum in improving our performances.

Basing improvement in our team on his availability will not see us move from 20th in the table.

Pointing this out is not drivel.
