Perhaps not in those words, but that is the inference. He's not signed the contract he's been offered here, he's not agreed a contract with Newcastle who appear to be the only team interested in signing him, so reading between the lines, it suggest that's exactly what he's planning on doing subject to a better offer from us or someone else.
He’s looking for the best contract? What a jerk.

Not agreeing to the terms of Newcastles contract could be a number of things. Maybe he was told he wouldn’t be a starter, maybe they were offering him less than he’s already on, or maybe he just didn’t get the right feeling from Newcastle.

I would personally be suprised if he gets a better offer than Newcastle. Whilst he may not be getting 1st team football there, he's going to a side that is challenging for europe.

If his main desire is first team football, he could be getting this staying at EFC.

Reading between the lines, he wants to leave on a free & receive a handsome sign on fee next summer wherever he goes.

Whilst that is his perogative, it should not be accepted by the club or its fans/staff.

I have no issue with a player wanting to get the best possible deal, I just don't think we should be offering said contract to a striker that bags about 6 goals a season. Clearly neither does the only team who had shown an interest in him.

Yeah coz football is that simple.

For the majority of the season he was left isolated; but yeah do more Dom
Being 'isolated' has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that this lad continually misses chance after chance. It's perfectly reasonable to want a striker to score more than a handful of goals a year. Clinging on to players who continually prove to be nothing more than average whilst making every excuse under the sun for their lack of ability is just one of the reasons we've been a joke for years.

Well it has a lot do with it; being isolated means less chances so expectations grow that the 1 chance he gets needs to be converted

It’s almost like better players don’t miss more chance.
