….i’m sure Everton have a valuation and if any club meets it then it’s up to the player to negotiate with the bidding club.

When you break it down. If this was another club and i was looking from the outside i'd think this all looks weird. He's got a bad injury prone record. He's not yet signed a new contract despite the club offering one. Can only mean one thing surely. He's prolific and can choose any club. Quick search. 8 goals in open play in 3 years.

This is what I think happens. He’s just not mobile enough for most Premier League clubs.

I don’t know where he’d go.

That’s the operating procedure when you want to keep a player.

I think that’s the way it will go tbh.
Hopefully Friedkin & Co complete the purchase and things start looking up so he extends next year (even if only so we can still sell him for profit in 24m)
Don’t think we can afford to let him go, but hopefully the bean counters have a better grip on that than plebs like me.
Unless someone offers £20m+ , keep him and see what happens in 12 months.

In which case he will be a year older and will be coming off a really crap season, probably scoring 5 goals. No one is going to play up front for us and look like a £130k a week striker if half arsing it. It’s hard to look good for us even giving 100%. He might then be a free agent, but he won’t get a massive payday, or a club in the mix for trophies. He will end up at newly promoted Luton or Leeds.
