He actually is demanding £750k tax free per week plus a year's supply of nappies for his little one. Rumour has it it's the latter that's holding up the deal.

Think he believes he can get a big wage and a higher place/European club. Based on his last season and injury history those clubs shouldn't want him.

….he’ll be off if the right offer comes in and he agrees to leave but if he decides to run his contract down it might just help secure our top flight status going into BMD.

The answer to why he wants to leave is staring us all in the face.
